Obama Buffalo Wings

BUFFALO, N.Y. — President Barack Obama stopped for Buffalo wings in – where else? – Buffalo.

The president made a surprise lunch stop to dine on the local delicacy at Duff's Famous Wings.

He took a customer's recommendation and ordered 10 medium wings – five regular and five extra crispy.

Said Obama: "This is the wing capital."

The president is visiting western New York Thursday to talk about jobs and the economy.

Canada's National Capital Region was chosen by Barack Obama for his first foreign visit since taking office as the President of The Unites States of America.

Het met formally with Canadian Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, and Obama met informally with everyone who happened to visit The Market in Ottawa's downtown hub.

President Barack Obama showed himself to be quite charismatic, caring, involved, interested, confident, positive, and empowering as he also made some surprise pit stops along his route and received lots of cheers and excitement.

Here is a YouTube video I like that I thought I would share with you to help give you a lookie lookie inside the events of that day.

In addition to what is mentioned in this video clip, Obama also made a girls day when he stopped in to get himself a BeaverTail that he heard is one of Canada's traditional yummy treats. He was quite sweet. I will look for video footage of that part of his visit too. They even named a BeaverTail treat to President Obama.

Cheerfully,

I searched through YouTube, and here is a video clip I found about a surprise pit stop that President Barack Obama made to The Market in Ottawa while on his first foreign visit of his presidency.

I still haven't found a video that I like which focuses more on Obama himself and the girl I mentioned earlier who made the honorary BeaverTail for The President.

Does any of my friends here have any footage they can share?

Joyfully,

Here is an endearing and helpful video from a couple of young girls and their mom which I like and I found on YouTube while searching for footage on Barack Obama's surprise visit to buy a BeaverTail in The Market.

Here is a fun and informative live demonstration on how to make your own BeaverTails at home...

Good for him. Wings are good. A little fat and sodium won't hurt every once in a while, right?

Doesn't he have high cholesterol?

All right everyone, just stop!

I haven't had a decent deli sandwich, a decent chili dog, a decent pretzel, a decent pizza, a decent Italian beef sandwich or a decent plate of pasta since I left the NY/NJ area...never mind a decent plate of wings...come to think of it, a decent bowl of chowder either.

For god sake, do any of you that still live up there deliver?

The republicans got everybody convinced that Dick Cheney and George Bush is one of them. That Cheney, Bush and Palin would sit down and eat with you. Obama seems like a man who would sit down with anybody. Poi anyone?

OK, as a transplant living in Buffalo for the last 5 years, I really haven't met anybody who honestly will tell you that Anchor Bar's wings are better than Duff's. Really, Duff's wings are just better.

Duff's have been better than the Anchor Bar's since I lived in North Tonowanda 15 years ago. God bless the Anchor Bar for inventing them, but it was like Edison inventing the light bulb and saying, "What the heck do I need this for?"

This may be good for publicity, but it is not good for the President's cholesterol level. Not to be a spoilsport. I'm glad to see him out and about - it's great! But why would it be wimpy to stop for some grilled fish?

In Buffalo? Grilled fish in Buffalo? He and Michelle went out to dinner last week here in DC and had grilled fish. Not much about it in the papers at all. He can't control what the media chooses to report on.

He works out everyday - why can't he enjoy a "bad" food every now and then?

Summarizing all the comments below (and adding some Glenn Beck truth twisting), I've decided on the following:

#1 - Anchor Bar (they serve them to you on a PLATTER, a silver platter)
#2 - LaNova (they're at least Buffalo Wings in BUFFALO - not Amherst or suburb wings)
#3 - Duffs. bowls and bowls of wings with bottles and bottles of Blue. Can't go wrong.

when I'm president I'll get all of them to meet ME on air force one so I dont offend any Buffalonians.

Duff's MY FOOT!!!!

Repeat after me slowly: An-Chor-Bar

And remember the name!!!

Reminds me of....

President Shepherd: Look! Look, there it is, Carmen's House of Flowers. Coop, I'm gonna hop out.

Coop (Secret Service): You're going to hop out sir?

Lewis Rothschild: No he's not hopping, no...no hopping sir.

President Shepherd: But I have to get flowers, thats what men do when they break a date.

Robin McCall: That's not what men do, I know no men who do that.

Lewis Rothschild: Sir at least give us a chance to do a security sweep, we don't know who might be in there.

President Shepherd: You think there's a florist planning my assassination on the off-chance i might be stopping by?

Lewis Rothschild: (Shrugs) Maybe....

Its hard to find a bad wing in Buffalo area. Duff's is close to the airport and the Pres has to eat, so
it was a good choice.La Nova's would have been 2nd by location. Good PR for WNY anyway.
