Matt Damon and Emily Blunt star in the much-anticipated film "The Adjustment Bureau," directed by George Nolfi and based on a Phillip K. Dick short story. We're not wild about the title, but the trailer definitely has us interested in this sci-fi flick.
Damon is a Senate candidate from New York who has a chance meeting with Blunt that sparks a romance. This, however, is not what's supposed to happen in his life, and the seemingly-omniscient men from the Adjustment Bureau step in to put him back on his proper path. Damon rejects them and he and Blunt run for their lives.
While Damon and Blunt will likely turn in solid performances, a lot will depend on how credible the science fiction is and whether it has a satisfying (i.e., not ludicrous) ending. Also, as Vulture notes, what's up with all the fedoras?
