The shove-to-the-ground, the wedgie, the high school dance twirling punch-out. As we chronicle in our '80s Bully Megacut post, the '80s bully had several devastating weapons at its disposal. But for sheer emotional domination, there was one weapon more devastating than all the rest, and it did not involve smacking, punching, cafeteria food, or even verbal denigration. That weapon: The '80s bully face.

The '80s bully had a face that caused discomfort at best, psychological trauma at worst, and the most effective '80s bully knew exactly how to wield this tool like an emotional tunnel boring machine, silently screaming out an anthemic chorus years before The Cranberries ever penned their hit song Zombie: in your heeeeee-eeeaaaaad, in your heeeeee-eeeaaaaad.

It could be an over-the-shoulder look-back face, or a face from behind that the victim had to look back over the shoulder to receive. It could be a face wafted out over a classroom of karate students, or a face shot line-drive style from under a basketball hoop. It could be a face piercing through a packed house party, or a face left hanging in an empty high school hallway. It could even be a face... while reclining against a parked car.

No matter its form, the '80s bully face always found its target, and more often than not left its recipients crippled, shattered shells of human beings.
