Claudia Schiffer Welcomes Baby Girl

LONDON — German supermodel Claudia Schiffer and her husband, British film producer and director Matthew Vaughn, have welcomed their third child – a baby girl.

A statement released Saturday by the couple announced the birth of their daughter but did not say what they intended to name her.

The baby was born in a central London hospital Friday afternoon. The statement says the 39-year-old model and the baby "are doing well."

Schiffer and Vaughn married in 2002. They already have a 7-year-old son, Caspar, and 5-year-old daughter, Clementine.

A heavily pregnant Schiffer was recently featured on the cover of German Vogue.

I think the scandanavian supermodels look better as they age. Not Cindy Crawford, though, I always thought she looked a little "L Word"-ish.

Well,she is not "just" a "Super Model", after all,she's a woman too. I have always liked her,and Cindy Crawford best of all models,and they seem to have done well in their "domestic" roles. Obviously many of you disapprove of her choice of spouse. She knows him,we don't. I hope their family is a very happy one. I personally disliked David Copperfield's arrogance. I felt he mistreated her publicly. But it's just an opinion,of course.

While I don't agree that most women in general prefer "obvious douches over good guys", I will say this. Stephanie Seymour also married and is currently embroiled in a nasty divorce from a real jerk. Only explanation there is that he is a billionaire. Well, WAS a billionaire. I'm assuming she will get a hefty settlement.
