WATCH: Glenn Beck Reads From Journal, Says God Is Truth At Liberty University Graduation

Fox News Host Glenn Beck was recognized at Liberty University this weekend for his "tireless efforts to preserve the American ideal."

Beck gave the keynote address to the class of 2010 and also received an honorary doctorate of humanities from the Virginia school.

According to Liberty's account of Beck's speech, the pundit was rendered teary by the distinction. (The Right Scoop reports that Beck choked up a total of 7 times.)

"As a man who was never able to go to college -- I'm the first in my family that went; I went for one semester; I couldn't afford more than that -- I am humbly honored," he said.

In his speech, Beck told graduates to "turn to God and live."

"Life is only what you make of it," he said. "Nothing more, nothing less. ... God is the truth. The truth will consume everything that is not true. ... The world is full of lies."

Beck also read the audience passages from his journal that he had written for his daughter, urging her (and graduates) to "marry for God" and "always forgive."

Whose American Ideal is he talking about? White America? I get so tired of these little code words people like Beck and Palin toss around in an effort to whip white rednecks into a frenzy to "take their country back". You talking about the country you stole from the Native Americans and tried to annihilate them in the process?

God claims to have nothing to do with Glenn Beck's creation and says the media should be looking at Satan as the responsible party. The devil could not be reach for comment but a source who wishes to remain anonymous says that Satan is still laughing.

“Conservative.” That's a woody word, isn't it? Sorry, that's a Monty Python sketch.

“Conserve.” Something to make a Tea Bagger shudder. Imagine the audacity of hope to conscript a word that means things your movement isn't very happy about or comfortable with.

“Conservation.” That's getting more scary. That's one of the bigger words in the Civilian Conservation Corps, part of the New Deal, shoved down the throats of Americans by FDR, the most Marxian Marxist president before Barack Obama and his death panels and secret FEMA disorientation camps.

That's great Dick! So, being a Conservative and all, can you give me a quick list of 3 things you believe in actually CONSERVING?
For fun, try asking that of a Conservative friend (or foe). If they're smart, they might answer "taxpayer's Money!", but stare blankly for the other 2. Even then, their records, in the case of Cheney/Bush would show that they DIDN'T conserve much taxpayer money.

come to think of it, Arizona State University did not give an honorary doctorate to Obama, as his body of work was yet to come, but Liberty university gladly gave Beck one. Wonder, what is Beck's body of work?
