NBC's Fall 2010 NEW SHOWS (PHOTOS)

Huffington Post   Danny Shea   First Posted: 05/17/10 11:48 PM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 05:30 PM ET

One of the reasons NBC cited for canceling "Law & Order" was a strong development slate for next season. Well, the network announced its fall schedule Monday at its upfront presentation, and executives have bold plans for fall: they announced 13 new programs, including four night of shows at 10PM (AKA the slot formerly occupied by "The Jay Leno Show").

Vote on which of the new shows you're most likely to watch (official descriptions via NBC):

The Event (Monday, 9PM)
1 of 14
"The Event" is an emotional high-octane conspiracy thriller that follows Sean Walker (Jason Ritter, "The Class"), an Everyman who investigates the mysterious disappearance of his fiancée, Leila (Sarah Roemer, "Disturbia"), and unwittingly begins to expose the biggest cover-up in U.S. history. Sean's quest will send ripples through the lives of an eclectic band of strangers, including: newly elected U.S. President Martinez (Blair Underwood, "Dirty Sexy Money"); Sophia (Emmy Award nominee Laura Innes, "ER"), who is the leader of a mysterious group of detainees; and Sean’s shadowy father-in-law (Scott Patterson, "Gilmore Girls"). Their futures are on a collision course in a global conspiracy that could ultimately change the fate of mankind. Ian Anthony Dale ("Daybreak") and Emmy winner Željko Ivanek (“Damages”) also star in the ensemble drama.

After losing shows that I really liked so that they could put Leno in primetime, i will never trust NBC again. Not going to watch any of there new shows. What is the point in getting interested in a story and the characters just to have them canceled.
Once the shows that I already watch on NBC now are all canceled or end, I won't watch that network again.

Can any of the "big" three come up with something new and unique? Recycle, recycle recycle.
Sticking with cable channel this fall.

They all seem like fake shows that would be used in a movie about show business. Nothing original. And these jokers wonder why no one is watching. They cover their asses with focus group data and when something flops they throw up their hands and say "Hey, it tested better than anything else."

NBC makes horrible programming decisions.

NBC gets rid of great shows that continually 'make it to first or second base' because they didn't "hit a home run first time at bat."

And now, they are getting rid of their 'Crown Jewel' Law and Order.

No wonder NBC always come in last in the ratings wars. Doesn't appear that will change anytime soon.

"Hey everybody! Look at all the new shows and ideas we have coming on in the fall! We've canceled 'Law & Order' but don't be sad because we're gonna air 'Law & Order: Los Angeles' which will be completely new! Except for title, writing, theme song, sound effect and production crew it's brand new! And you know what we say don't ya? If you haven't seen it, it's new to you!!!"....yea they need to fire Zucker.

Un-freakin-believeable. WHAT is going on with these network executives?

The Cape? Seriously? Why not just bring back "Manimal"?

Wasn't "The Event" called "Kidnapped" when it was on Fox a few years ago?

Yeesh... and these shows actually look more promising (read: slightly less sucky) than the ones CBS and ABC are lining up for this fall. *heavy sigh*
