Gulf Oil Spill
BP-subcontractor Transocean ramps up its PR and lobbyists to answer questions from Washington.

The Hill:

An offshore drilling company tied to the massive Gulf oil spill is boosting its lobbying and public relations team as the number of congressional inquiries expands.

Transocean Ltd. recently signed Capitol Hill Consulting Group, which includes a former Democratic congressman and a top energy advisor to then-House Majority Leader Tom DeLay (R-Texas), to lobby for an undisclosed sum, according to federal lobbying records.

MR. OBAMA,

FORCE THE BAILED OUT CAR COMPANIES TO BUILD THESE 3 CARS!!!!

since americans are pretty addicted to cheap oil and they ain't giving up their cars any time soon........

ONE constructive/realistic thing to do is at least create LESS demand for oil......

and FORCE car companies to build more efficient cars.

they already HAVE the technology and blue prints/research for cars that run 70-80mpg

it makes ABSOLUTELY NO SENSE to have put in GOV'T funded tax payer research from 1993-2003 to research hybrid cars and have the 3 big car companies not manufacture them.................instead toyota is.

Try spending your money on your technology department; stopping the spewing will work wonders with your public relations.

Sorry but PR isn't going to cut it. By the time this particular spill is over (and who knows how many others in the future?), half of our fisheries will be ruined and several coastal states will never recover. That is priceless and can't be bought with your PR, or your BS. The only outcome should be your imprisonment in a cell with Bubba.

PR is BS. Just as BP. Or GS. Or BOA. It's all BS. PR firms are only as good as their products. When PR supersedes it's deliverable's, then someones butt is on the line.

Let me see, if I was spinning this what would I try and convey to the Fox News rhode scholars?

Hm oh, how about his? First get Sarah Palin as the spokes person (she'll say anything for a buck, and Fox viewers think she is pretty smart, she was a governor you know). Then the pitch:

The spill is a good thing, it actually has saved millions of species of wild life. It turns out that many species actually use the oil to help protect their bodies from predators.

Predators, like sharks, can not sense the fish and other wild life that are coated with all the oil. So they do not eat them! This spill has saved many different types of wild life from being eaten. The spill was a great thing!

Then we coat a fish in oil and tar and toss it into a shark infested pool. But before we toss the little sucker into the pool, we tranquilize all the sharks. We then tell the Fox viewers that the sharks are floating there because they can not sense the fish...

Next thing you know, throngs of Fox viewers are protesting any effort President Obama and the Democrats try. Bingo bango no regulations!

There is a major coverup going on with this oil spill.....a microbe exists that will literally eat this oil and neutralize the toxic effects of this oil in the Gulf of Mexico! The major corporations refuse to use it because they cannot patent it, own it, or sell it because its very inexpensive....It is available all over the world!!...It' time for BP to stop the BS...and use what has been proven to work,,,,
