Who Was There: Hollywood's Heavy-Hitters Come Out To Support Lakers

Last night in downtown LA, the Staples Center had a particularly impressive showing of celebrities who came out to support the Lakers in game one of the Western Conference Finals. Super-fan Jack Nicholson rooted on his boys while chatting up Phoenix coach Alvin Gentry, and the cast of TNT's Southland took in the courtside view. See who else showed up to support the purple and gold.

Most of the celebs in Hollywood go to Lakers games. It is not always publicized but Nicholson, Hopper, Crystal and many go all the time to the games. They are season ticket holders.

Most of those people aren't native Los Angelinos; Although Jack is from NY, he has more than payed his dues to be considered a true Los Angelino.

Regina King is a childhood friend of mine and a Los Angeles Native. She's also a long time d.i.e. h@rd Lakers fan.

I don't think that's true at all, Mr. Copeland. You like what you like -- I don't think it's in anyone's position to question someone else's motivation for liking what they like. I guess that applies to a scope beyond the subject of your comment, but still, it applies. lol

Anyway, my point is, you support who you support, be it your hometown or not, and LA just happens to be their hometown now, and they're famous, and you know, you put famous people in everything, including plane diversions where the cockpit was on fire. (!)

Plus, I think Kobe Bryant moves like poetry. (Jordan moves rhymes)XD.
