Rush Limbaugh (AUDIO): 'When Do We Ask The Sierra Club To Pick Up The Tab For This Leak?'

Rush Limbaugh picked an unlikely target to blame for the Gulf of Mexico oil spill on his show yesterday:

"When do we ask the Sierra Club to pick up the tab for this leak?" Limbaugh asked, and then proceeded to answer.

Here's his logic: The environmental group has been driving oil producers off the land to "way, way, way offshore," into more high-risk situations. According to Limbaugh, the oil companies have had no choice but to drill for oil one mile underwater.

Where he got the idea that the Sierra Club is any more for offshore drilling than onshore drilling is unclear. Basically, Limbaugh wants the Sierra Club to foot the bill for what they've always maintained is a risky business while BP vigorously fought against regulations

Sierra will be giving money right after Rush does. Rush, who significantly works for the oil industry must be worried he will get a conscience and then have to also discover some humility for how wrong he has been for so long.

The boycott of Glenn Beck's advertisers, if you can believe what you read, seems to be working pretty well. Limbaugh next? Let's hope so.

I have another idea. If there are any lawyers out there, I'd really like to hear your opinion on this.

Nobody wants to leave their "upside-down" home to an heir that they care about, right? Who wants to hand unsecured debt to someone that they love? Well, the reason that our homes are "upside-down", is because of the Big Bankers, and Big Bankers, like Big Oil, also fall under the "protection" of the all powerful Maha Wingnut.

So here's what I propose . . .

Would that be a hoot, or what? The Big Banks calling Limbaugh's house every 30 seconds looking for payments on millions of upside down properties.

My wife and I have never been late on a mortgage payment, and we hope that we never will be. But our home is now worth two thirds of what we could sell it for, because of Limbaugh's Big Banker friends. We're thinking, SERIOUSLY, about leaving our home to Rush.

It should have read something like, "We can only sell our home, now, for two thirds of what it used to be worth." Does that make more sense?

If I were the President, I'd steer ALL that oil to West Palm Beach, FL. I'd sacrifice that one stretch of beach to save the rest of Florida, America, and the rest of the World. RushCamelot be damned.

I agree... This man is so against environmental issues. he would turn the clock back to the 60s when the rivers were so poluted they actually caught fire.

Let the oil wash up on his beach and see how fast he backpedels on how the ocean will take care of itself.

Its not the Sierra Club's fault. Why should they pay? Its BP, Haliburton, and Transocean... anyone who works on rigs knows that this can happen. We know he won't make any kind of donation. Think that elitist pompous southend of a northbound skunk will get his hands dirty to clean up his beach?

Alaska still hasn't fully recovered from the Exxon Valdez spill... and this has dwarfed that incident.
