DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — A Florida woman is facing charges after being accused of chasing a Wendy's employee with a stun gun when she got upset about her order.

Police in Daytona Beach say Melanese Asia Reid got into an argument with an employee at the drive-thru Monday. She got out of the vehicle and went into the store, along with Katrina Mari-Alyce Bryant.

Witnesses say Reid pulled out a pink stun gun and chased the employee while Bryant cheered her on. The two women reportedly left when a manager threatened to call police.

Police tracked them down later after Bryant called the store back to complain about the service.

Reid was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and Bryant was charged with being a principal to aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

We'll need to start regulating who can possess these weapons. Basically, if someone wants a pink stun gun they shouldn't be getting one.

So, now they make PINK Tasers???

Also: she is charged with 'aggravated assault with a deadly weapon'. What about the cops that use Tasers all the time? How come they can use the Tasers and do not have to stand up for using a 'deadly weapon'?

Because they're entitled to by their job. When they use them without reason, it generally causes all sorts of problems for them (like all the troubles the RCMP had after they inadvertently killed that Danish traveller).

Blood alcohol level. I suspect that will play a role. Who would behave like this while sober?

Did anyone catch that is says "pink stun gun"? Like it is a designer accessory ... Obviously they are being marketed to people who shouldn't have them.

It is no coincidence that crazy people eat too much fast food, and, with all those preservatives and color-added, life-extending chemicals, this is an expected consequence, beyond the fat and empty calories. Still, this is just looney, and I gotta say, fast food and (OTC ?) stun guns; this combo is destined to be the new drinking and driving.

Then they call to complain.

What a pair of idiots.

I'm wondering if the complaint had anything to do with how fast that poor employee had to run! Perhaps we've come to a time when we need panic buttons in fast food places to drop down those safety gates.

I guess I am seriously behind the times. I had no idea pink stun guns were even available. But, I can see why they are. Certainly, in FL, it's pretty much summer already -- you want something with a lighter, more carefree look, something that will go with your Lilly Pulitzer outfits.

Wow, the woman tried to claim self defense...yet she went in with it out and sought the guy out, probably on camera.

Epic fail.

What a vapid, self-entitled tosserette. I hope they both do real time for it.

Unfortunately, this doesn't surprise me. I've been in the service industry before, and there are a lot of people that think patronizing an establishment and being entitled to have their way with the employees, though usually it stops short of assaulting them with a weapon, is normal. It's just a sign that manners are passé in the United States.

Maybe it's just me, but a mustard and mayonnaise packet isn't worth going to jail for. It isn't even worth being impolite over. It may not even be worth mentioning, really. But if one is going to mention it, a little respect is in order. Just because they're taking your money, anywhere, doesn't mean they're your b_tch to do with as you please. It's about high time that the American consumer realize that their dollar isn't buying the right to heap abuse on people.
