Chad Ochocinco On 'Dancing With The Stars' Exit: 'Empty As F$%#"

First Posted: 05/19/10 01:38 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 05:30 PM ET

Chad Ochocinco's run on "Dancing with the Stars" came to an end Tuesday night. The Bengals receiver lasted until the final four pairings, but he and partner Cheryl Burke became the 100th couple to be eliminated from the show.

In a series of tweets, Ochocinco called his time on the series "one of the best experiences ever." He thanked his supporters and his dance partner (she received an "#ILOVEYOU" hash tag), but soon expressed sadness over his elimination.

He wrote that he felt "empty as f$%#" and described his emotional condition as a "state of the emergency situation." Fortunately, he was "happy again" by morning. Scroll down to see the full tweets.

Some guy named Eightfive got booted off a ridiculous show.

From the perspective of anything that happens in the world, I find it more important that the military efforts of the medieval English nobleman Gilbert de Lacy at Ludlow later became the basis of the medieval romance Fouke le Fitz Waryn.

A couple seasons back, I concluded the show is "rigged" (at least the outcomes are NEVER
according to my preference), so I vowed to use the defense of detachment to protect myself
from frustration. I may watch with the show in the background as I'm at the computer, but
I'm certainly glad that I'm no longer invested in the outcome. Once again, their line-up was so
unfair with quasi-professional dancers or skaters or gymnasts. If I'm attentive, it's because
of the choreography or some unusual event. But, really, how could it be expected that some of
the non-dancers who were up in the years could even compete at the same level?

I'm not fond of the whole "eliminate one loser per week" paradigm of all these reality shows. Not that I generally care one way or another, but I first watched DWTS after HP's article on Kate Gosselin's hilariously awful paso doble and have been hooked ever since. I'm far more interested in watching the contestants improve their technique than in finding out who gets to make it to the next round. Kate danced horribly, but she was improving by time she got kicked off. I would have liked to see how much she could have improved over the course of an entire season. Shannen Doherty seemed to have good potential, but we'll never know because she was voted off after the second week. Buzz Aldrin was awkward, but I bet he would have started to find his groove if only he had a couple more months. They all come back for the final episode, but that doesn't mean much if they haven't been practicing like the finalists have.

I thought he was suppose to start the Ocho Cinco Network or something like that... What happened? All hype until he figured out how hard it would be..

Based on talent, Nicole should win. But, it's patently unfair to have ice skaters like Yamaguchi or entertainers like Nicole who have a strong background in dance, unless the scores are handicapped. Or, at the least they should have an award for the most improved dancer...Hell, Nicole looked as good--if not better--than some of the professional female dancers, and as much as enjoy drooling over that heavenly body, it's unfair to include quasi-professional hoofers with total neophytes like Chad.

I agree. They should have people with no dance experience. Not only would it be more fair but it would be more interesting to watch them improve.

I'll miss Chad. He made it more fun and he did a great job!

They do have a rule that the contestants cannot have taken *ballroom* dancing lessons previously. But I agree with you and RusStyles. Nicole (to use the obvious example) is fantastic but she is a professional dancer to begin with. It seems like cheating to put her up against non-dancers like Chad. On the other hand, it would be difficult to really make the show fair. As much of an advantage as Nicole had over Chad, think of the advantage that Chad had over Buzz Aldrin.

Chad O. was the only reason I watched this show. He was great and so cool when he lost. Gracious and warm.
