Lindsay Lohan Bares Legs, Loses Passport In Cannes (PHOTOS)

Lindsay Lohan is in Cannes, where she arrived last weekend despite having a court hearing in LA on Thursday that requires her to complete four more alcohol education classes to avoid jail time.

Lindsay says she planned to be back in LA for her court date, but she claims someone stole her passport in Cannes and she will be unable to return in time.

Lindsay's lawyer told TMZ, "I was on the phone with Lindsay's assistant the entire night and we're doing everything we can to resolve this issue and get her back to L.A. Lindsay is distraught because it was her intention to get back to L.A. today to do more alcohol education classes and appear in court tomorrow."

Meanwhile Lindsay was out partying in Cannes until 5 a.m. Wednesday with Dominic Cooper, boyfriend of Amanda Seyfried, Lohan's former 'Mean Girls' costar.

"They were being coy with each other," a clubgoer told E! News. "Not really touchy, but flirty. After Grace [Jones]'s performance they sat down at the table next to each other and were hanging out."

UPDATE: As of Wednesday evening, Seyfried and Cooper are "taking a break."

Lindsay has not applied for a new passport, Radaronline.com reports, though she has reported her old passport stolen. The duty officer for the U.S. Embassy in France told Radar that Lindsay needs to fill out paperwork to get a temporary passport, and now that paperwork cannot be obtained until Thursday morning.

The judge involved in the case has said she will issue a warrant for Lindsay's arrest if Lindsay is not in court at 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

Lindsay knows she's entitled and will get away with snubbing the court and will party hardy tonight and every other night with nary a thought for this situation, the people involved in that vehicle and even less thought for the alcohol classes as she's above all that and special.

I mean, after all, she did tell those three people she kidnapped that she is a clebrity and can do anything she wants.

My, must be so nice to be so much better than all the other people in the world.

What aggravates me is the statement that, "No one is above the law." Really? How about the whole, hideous Bush Admin., for starters. What happened to my 10 billion, still missing in Iraq? Now this sad, young woman, throwing her life away, but the courts look the other way. No wonder she flaunts her celebrity at the judge b/c she knows that just "little people" have to obey the rules and regs. or else. Where is the justice for the average, working person? Where are their advocates?

Well, as we all get older most of us end up accepting that there are and always have been at least two sets of rules and laws. One set for the rabble, We, The People (the world over) and another set for The Special Ones, those filthy rich CEOs, politicians, entertainers, mistresses (Tiger Woods, Jesse James, etc anyone?) and even a few infamous murderers and other assorted convicted criminals.

It's always been this way since the dawn of Humanity. And it will always be to the end of Humanity. Unfortunately, that's truly the way it is. No way to change that in Humanity's makeup. The extremely ambitious opportunistic people (Sarah Palin for example) will always seize the moment and do what ever it takes to "rise above" in wealth, power and influence, regardless of legality in deeds done or how it affects others, even their own nations.

And the vast majority of the world's people who really do try to do things right will always be trod asunder because we always retain some smidgen of belief in "do the right thing", no matter how often we're screwed over.

The only way to rid ourselvs of the Lindsay Lohans, the Paris Hiltons, the BP and Goldman Sachs execs, religious predators and the corrupted GOP/Dem/etc pols is to genetically mutate that sociopathic/psychopathic gene out of the gene pool.

Never gonna happen.
