She's not the first woman to trip on a long dress while going up stairs. Happens all the time. It's hard to hold up the hem, look up at the host and not where you're stepping, and hold out a hand in greeting.

Queen Sofia drinks little if any alcohol. She's a remarkable woman and looks much younger than her 70+ years. She's comported herself flawlessly at more official functions than you seem to have brain cells. What exactly are the criteria to be a "super user"? Total inability to say anything relevant and/or intelligent?

Without knowing for sure, I would say it's the insane shoes these top dollar consumerist women wear. Same with the protocol babe at the recent state dinner at the Obama White House. Her shoes were laughable. I'm sure they came with an astonishing price tag.

I doubt it was the shoes fault. The Queen always wears very sensible shoes, completely different from her daughter-in-law Princess Letizia.

Not always. I think it was last year when Queen Sofia got off the plane to start the holidays in Mallorca, and she was wearing a pretty suit and high heels. I think the heels were at least 2 1/2 inches and she was being so careful going down the steps, taking it one a time.
