Sarah Palin Endorses Clint Didier, Tea Party-Backed Senate Candidate In Washington State

WASHINGTON (AP / Huffington Post)-- Sarah Palin on Thursday endorsed Tea Party-backed Washington state Senate candidate Clint Didier.

Didier, a former Washington Redskins player, hopes to win Washington's Republican primary and challenge Democratic Sen. Patty Murray for her seat in November's general election.

The Seattle Times' Jim Brunner profiled Didier this week and reported that he has accepted federal farming subsidies totalling $273,000 while simultaneously denouncing the government:

A former NFL player turned farmer, Didier has repeatedly called the federal government "a predator." He vows to oppose the "Marxist utopia" he says Democrats want to create -- "where everyone is taken care of from womb to tomb."

But Didier himself has cashed in on one big government aid program. He has received nearly $273,000 in federal farm subsidies since 1995, according to a database of U.S. Department of Agriculture subsidies maintained by the Environmental Working Group (EWG).

On her Twitter account, Palin described Didier as a "patriot running for U.S. Senate to serve his state & our country for all the right reasons!" She didn't mention his farming subsidies.

Also absent from the former half-term Alaska governor's tweet was any mention of Dino Rossi, a two-time candidate for governor who is widely anticipated to jump into the race. Palin's endorsement of Didier complicates national Republican efforts to recruit Rossi.

National Democrats have been aggressively criticizing Rossi, hoping to keep him out of the Senate race or rough him up by the time he's officially in - similar to what they did to Indiana's Dan Coats. But much of Democrats' attacks on Rossi is familiar from his two previous bids and Rossi has been in no rush to start campaigning ahead of the Aug. 17 primary.

The deadline to get on Washington's ballot is June 11.

Of course she supports him, she never showed any interest for intellectual integrity or logical coherence.

Just like Paul Rand thinks that it somehow must be possible to support the idea of a federal law intervening in the life of Black individuals to limit their freedom to eat or work or relax where they want only because they are Black, all while supporting  Read More...

Who will be the first t-party Senator to win a seat in Washington? And how will it feel for an American to have this representation in Washington? Will you be proud or embarrassed? Who will cry out,"This is MY leader"? Is this what we wish the world to see? The type of leadership that the free world has asked us to provide? Is this what America needs in the 21st century, from its leadership? A lot of questions, and the answers can only come from the voters, and so I ask everyone to engage in 2010 and vote. Vote for whoever you believe in. And the more people who vote, the more hope we can have in our future. The more progress we will see in our Society.

I find this typical of a Tea Bog moocher. He wants a police force, and army and farm subsidies but there is too much Goverment . Eliminate everything I disapprove of except the things I might need . Of course Sarah supports him

As a Washingtonian I have to say I don't think he's going to do very well. Patty Murry could mop the floor with this guy. That being said I don't think this is a good time for us to get complacent. The Republicans are reving up for a big fight all over the country. Those of us who live in Seattle need to remember we live in a liberal bubble. We need to make certain this guy doesn't oust Patty!

If I got a political endorsement from Mrs. Checkbook,

I've been listening to this guys ads on the radio. It's completely analogized with football, you can hear announcers calling his name during an actual game. I kept waiting to hear Madden's voice booming out how Didier is one of the best players in all of Football!

We have good Senators in Washington, the Teabaggers and Palin need to leave us alone.

There is a reason we are a BLUE state, it's called FREE THOUGHT!

Rossi is a crybaby that has lost two races already and this guy sounds like an out of touch basket case that received large farm subsidies while trashing government as being, Marxist!
I don't think Patty or Maria have anything to worry about from these two!
