James Franco Rise Of The Apes Planet

MTV Movie News:

Hot on the heels of the recent announcement that James Franco will return to "General Hospital" for another run, Variety reports that the "Pineapple Express" and "Spider-Man" alum has signed on to star in the "Planet of the Apes" prequel, "Rise of the Apes."

I think a real opportunity was missed in the last decade. With a little tweaking, Charlton Heston's great dystopian trilogy: "Soylent Green, Omega Man, Planet of the Apes" could have been re-envision a a three (or more) film franchise with one central hero/anti-hero stumbling through all three stories. coulda been grest.

His brother has that look, too; they're both adorable.

OMG, so agree. His brother is a doll, but James is just a little more 'perfect' imo, haha.

Why does he always look wasted.

The man likes his red wine! And I'd like him after he's a little tipsy.

oh you people, that was absolutely priceless, funny - still like his teeth to be whiter whichever end he'll end up being... and naked.

So the story will take place before Charlton Heston lands? Wasn't the premise that the apes had "evolved" from us in a post-apocalyptic world? Maybe it'll show "The Fall of Man", with actors playing actual people. I mean, before the apes "Rise", you know? Hey, the monkey suits were swell in the Tim Burton film, but a little fur goes a long way.

I'll see him in anything. He is very cute, a good actor, and a PhD candidate at Yale. What more could you ask for in a movie star.
