School Bus Accident Sends 11 Students To Hospital, Injures Another 13 (VIDEO)

UPDATE: 1010WINS now reports that 11 elementary school students were injured in the crash.

The students were on a field trip to Lincoln Center when the bus rear-ended another vehicle on 63rd Street between First and Second Avenues.

In video taken by WABC, at least one student is seen being carted away in a gurney.

PREVIOUSLY:

NEW YORK (Associated Press) - Authorities say more than 20 people were taken to a hospital after a school bus accident in Manhattan.

The Fire Department says none of the injuries from Friday's accident are considered life-threatening.

Department of Education spokeswoman Marjorie Feinberg describes the accident as a "fender bender" involving the bus and a car.

The accident occurred around 11 a.m. Friday on city streets on Manhattan's Upper East Side.
