No Clear Winner In Teachers Union Race

Thanks to a crowded field of candidates, no clear winner emerged in Friday's election for the next Chicago Teachers Union president -- prompting a runoff between incumbent Marilyn Stewart and another top vote-getter, Karen Lewis.

Lewis, whose Caucus Of Rank-and-File Educators (CORE) was one of four that ran a slate of officers against Stewart's, will face Stewart in a June 11 election to lead the nation's third-largest teachers union, according to a press release from Stewart's office.
