Glora James & Delonte West Affair? Blogger Defends Report On LeBron James' Mom

Ever since the Cleveland Cavaliers were knocked out of the playoffs following uncharacteristically shoddy play from LeBron James, rumors have swirled that the NBA MVP was in a funk because he learned that his mother had sex with teammate Delonte West.

A lawyer for James forcefully denied the whispers, but Basketball Hall of Famer Calvin Murphy called the claim "absolutely true" and "absolutely horrifying."

The man who first published the story online defended his coverage in an interview with 98.5 The Sports Hub in Boston. Owens said that "we trust our sources," but also sounded unsure of the veracity of the controversial claim. He added that the source is someone "we've used before, he's never done me wrong, he's always been pretty right on."

HP moderators...my comment does not violate your comment policy...you know you've been guilty of tacky sports "journalism" and that you featured those cheap headlines about Ron Artest several months ago. Reposting:

HP's sports page is like sleaze and gossip central. We rarely get sports news. But we sure get a lot of stories about who's sleeping with who and any criminal activity committed by Black athletes. Remember several months ago when they carried a story for an entire week about Ron Artest's sister being a suspected welfare cheat? It's only gotten worse in the interim.
