Fan Catches Ball With Beer, Then Drinks It Up (VIDEO)

First Posted: 5/27/10 Updated: 5/25/11

Some fans bring their glove to a baseball game, and many attendees enjoy a beer at the ballpark. But it's rare to see someone combine the two. One skillful spectator did just that at a recent Cubs game.

When a member of the Atlanta Braves threw a ball into the stands during batting practice, a talented fan caught the projectile with his beer, then chugged the entire beverage, leaving only the ball on display. Scroll down to watch the impressive performance.

Probably the only Cubs highlight of the day... Maybe this guy's onto something: beer gloves?

Who knows where that ball has been? That's probably the most enthusiasm the fans had shown all day.

I would have asked for a free one, Beer > Braves baseball. Can't argue with science.

Would have been cool if the ball had been hit into the stands, but not a lob thrown in by an outfielder. This is more of a stupid pet trick.

Dear Baseball fan who caught the baseball in his beer cup,

Way cool, dude.

There aren't strong enough words to describe how cool that was. James Bond would find it difficult to reach that level of pimptitude.

Wrigley Field, the Mecca of the Western World. I so love that place. I once went to Chicago, just to catch 4 games in a row. Great freakin' time.

LOL. Nice to see your enjoyment of the venue.

However, only in a country where a "world series" does not include non-Americans, and where the Oscars are restricted to American films + 1-only foreign film, could someone call "Wrigley Field" the "Mecca of the Western World".
