'Friends' Theme Reimagined For 'Parks And Recreation' (VIDEO)

First Posted: 05/28/10 03:12 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 05:35 PM ET

You may not have noticed, but "Parks and Recreation" has gradually become one of the funniest shows on TV. And since NBC loves making great decisions, they rewarded it by moving to mid-season next year. Good call!

Maybe if the actual show had the same opening credits as "Friends," we would not have to wait until January for new episodes (That said, their current intro is pretty fun). Luckily, one fan has made that a reality and it's delightful. All that's missing is a shot of Ron Swanson with a turkey on his head. Oh Joey! (via Gotcha Media)

I thought that was good.

However, why is NBC jerking this show's schedule around?

Oh, nevermind. I know: Zucker.

to clarify, Ron Swanson would never have a turkey on his head, but he would have a fried turkey leg wrapped in bacon in his mouth.

I like Parks and Recreation! The show has surprisingly won me over - over the course of its first two seasons. I can't wait for Season 3.

Oh this was nice. Brings back memories of FRIENDS. Loved that show, still love it. Have the complete 10 Seasons DVD collection.

If somehow, its ever brought back.....I would be so happy.....

Oh and btw, Aziz Ansari is quite funny, you should check out some of his stand up performances on Youtube, he's hilarious.

Hey look guys, it's a mocumentary with uncomfortable silences. I'm so glad we get humor, not like those idiots who used to watch 3's Company...with the same jokes over and over and over...

I couldn't get past the mockumentary style for it, even though my first job was with my town's Park & Rec department and what episodes I did see were dead-on accurate in their depiction of the pettiness and for-its-own-sake venality of town-level politics.

I love me some Parks and Rec.... regardless of what 90% of the people I encounter say.

Amy is a comedy great, and the ensemble is fantastic.

I don't even think the show's hit its stride yet. Thank Xenu it wasn't cancelled.
