First Posted: 05/31/10 01:17 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 05:40 PM ET

Champion roller skater Taig Khris wowed thousands of onlookers in Paris when he attempted to set a new world record for the the highest roller skate jump. Leaping from the first floor of the Eiffel Tower, Khris botched the landing on his first attempt. Unfazed, he immediately tried again. Did he pull it off? Watch and see.

There was a lot of him talking but nothing of the successful jump. I wanted to see the jump.

I thought this was fun and the guy seemed to be cool.........The French are fun.......critical and fun. Europeans always say that the French are most like Americans.

I love criticizing the Frenchies to no end, but I usually (NOT always) gotta hand it to them. they do know how to live and celebrate.
And their philosophers are not too bad, either. Though the Germs always win over the French for me in the end. After all, it was Schopenhauer, and more Nietzsche who made Foucault (the most brilliant Frenchie of all) what he's become today.

Robbie Maddison's stunt jump off the fake Arche de Triumphe in Vegas was more impressive since he jumped up as well as down.

It isn't 'Us and Them the People'. It is 'We'.

I agree. Both up and then down. As shown in his first attempt, he didn't make the drop and whizzed down, super slide style. Still not something your everyday person would try. Myself, too many broken bones from my idiotic 'stunting' days. Looks fun as hell though!

I dream of getting my kids into a good school, but I guess falling with roller-skates on a good dream to have too.
