Christina Hendricks Covered Up, Fresh-Faced At Brooks Brothers Launch (PHOTOS, POLL)

Actress Christina Hendricks attended yesterday's Brooks Brothers and Social Primer Bow Tie Launch and instead of showing off her curves, she covered up with a coat, a dress with a ruffled collar and boots. She definitely looked more demure, opting for little makeup and pinning her hair back.

Bit of a miss. Jacket's ugly. At least with the structure around the neck. It also doesn't help that the photos were taken mid- face movement though.

i think it's kind of pathetic that to HP, this actress is clearly just her chest. whenever she's featured at all on this site, that's all the "story" is about. this "story" is clearly only about the absence of apparently her only worthy attributes (according to HP).

I'm shocked that huffingtonpost would post a pic of Christina Hendricks without her enormous boobs on full display. I kinda thought that was the whole point of posting pics of her. Has huffpo been taken to task about this or something?

Eh. She probably put this outfit together herself. Esquire styled and shot her in a way that was meant to be seen as sexy and provocative. Apples and Oranges.

I like the make-up and it's fresh--girl has GREAT skin. I dislike the jacket and if it were off, probably the dress as well.

The jacket has a weird front that spreads open and does a weird bunch at the waist. Perhaps a going down 1 size would help. It just looks a little drab just sitting there, which is too bad because I can see that it's a nice coat. In the first picture with Rich Sommer, his arm around her waist helps to pull the coat back just a bit and it already looks better, but even there the sleeves look too long. She doesn't always have to show off her body in tight clothes, but the clothes shouldn't be too big either.

I'm not crazy about the ruffled neckline either. It just looks too busy, like she's trying to hard to cover up her chest. I think she may have realized that instead of hiding, it accentuated--but not in a good way--hence the coat. Perhaps just something more subdued around the neck. Just a more simple detail. It looks really messy with the ruffles and her hair down and curled.

But I do think the coat was a good decision since she did wear the dress. I think the white dress by itself might have been too oddly proportioned. And the white dress and brown boots by themselves just scream mid-west prairie girl. The jacket helps with the colour blocking.
