While I liked the Twilight Series, I say No One Can hold a Candle to Anne Rice.......

And in Saying that I must honestly admit I like Kim Harrison's and Laurell K. Hamilton's Series.....

And Patricia Briggs is a great escape from reality Storyteller....

On just a murder mystery/comedy/romance series I LOVE JANET EVANOVICH'S Stephanie Plum series, and wish it would be made into a t.v. series, although I don't know if they could ever find someone hot enough to play Ranger and Morelli.......

I sincerely doubt it - not if she can figure out another way to squeeze a few bucks out of her fans.

At least her books are about Vampires and not about that Nazi Kid in England Harry. I actually read The Host by Mrs. Meyer before her big fame, I didn't even know she had all those books out there. I've seen the two movies and thematically they aren't very good. I'm an actual screenwriter from the old days where it used to be about STRUCTURE. I can't see myself taking up her series of Vampire books now, simply because I've seen the Movies. Now don't ge me wrong the performers in there are attractive. But to me Anne Rice has got to be the top of these writers. I don't see any of these 'Vamp Gal Writers" even coming close to Mrs. Rice's abilities. She's simply a far better writer than the vast majority of these.
