MSNBC's "Dylan Ratigan Show" was the only cable news show in its time period to grow in total viewers last month, and it did so at an impressive rate.

The show grew 20% in total viewers over MSNBC's 4PM time slot in May 2009, averaging 333,000 total viewers. By contrast, Fox News' "Your World with Neil Cavuto" was down 2%, CNN's "Rick's List" was down 31%, and HLN's news programming was down 7%, all in total viewers.

Although Ratigan placed third behind Fox News and CNN, May also marked the second consecutive month that he beat HLN.

In the A25-54 demo, Ratigan was up 7% to 90,000 A25-54 viewers. "Your World with Neil Cavuto" actually grew 4% in the demo, but CNN (-7%) and HLN (-1%) were both down in the demo as well.
