In an offending quote, Twilight saga star Kristen Stewart compared paparazzi photos of herself to images of a woman being raped. Almost immediately, everyone from fans to spokespeople for rape victims' advocacy organizations were publicly criticizing the actress.

"I really made an enormous mistake -- clearly and obviously," Stewart, currently in Korea to promote the new installment of the Twilight series Eclipse, tells PEOPLE exclusively. "And I'm really sorry about my choice of words."

She exudes zero it factor for me, she has dead eyes and her personality leaves something to be desired. She just comes off as your typical bratty, snotty, mean girl, but maybe I'm wrong.

I don't find her attractive in any way, shape or form.

Kristen Stewart is the supreme example of how masses of money don't buy happiness. She is always complaining of the downside of her fame and never smiles.

I've got to be missing something. I'm still trying to figure out what makes this woman so special.

Why would anyone take anything she says seriously anyway?
I don't get this. Waste of print.

If anyone has personally witnessed being photographed by the stalkerazzi, it is very much an energetic and spiritual rape
06:15 PM on 06/05/2010
No it isn't. You need to learn to be kind and then they love you and print good pictures and help your stardom.

First, I just do not like the word "rape" used in this context. But unfortunately, being stalked by media ghouls just goes with the territory. If you want to be a Hollywood star and you go after that goal, then you just have to resign yourself to being fodder for the paparazzi. To make the money these people make for proportionately little work means they have to deal with some consequences . . . like having your picture snapped whenever you go outside. The ones who pull off living somewhat normal lives and not being hounded are lucky. Kevin Bacon and Kira Sedgewick are always walking around NYC, taking the subway, etc and they are not chased down. Maybe they just aren't considered big enough stars by the paps, or maybe they just know how to deal with them. My daughter lives there and she has seen them on the street and on her commute and she says they are very down-to-Earth and because of it, people just leave them alone. While I think the life of a Hollywood celebrity would be very difficult and not one I would want for myself, I do think if you choose to go into that life, you do not have the right to gripe about what goes with it. Unless the paps are literally endangering your life, as in running you off the road, etc. you just figure it is part of doing business. JMO.

Does she HAVE a different facial expression???
07:39 PM on 06/07/2010
No, of course not.....She wants to be sure everyone knows how miserable she is having to get her picture taken and do all the publicity for these movies and these fans that have made her a millionaire.....

She made a mistake and has said she is sorry. What an industry though...... You have to watch everything you say and do. I don't envy her.

I don't think she owed anybody an apology. If that's how she felt, that's how she felt.

The paparazzi have been out of control for a long time. Too long. If they want to hang out at public hot spots where people go to be seen, that's great, but following people around every day...all the time...provoking & harassing...why do we allow this? Why do we allow this violent seizure of celebrity privacy?
06:10 PM on 06/05/2010
I sort of agree, she is making it worse by trying to make up for something she said at a time she meant it. Now it seems worse. We are not her confession box. Live with it and move on, Kristin.
She gets to kiss Robert Pattinson every night, why is she complaining about anything? It's almost tragic, isn't it? Seems a little ungrateful to me.

Ungrateful? lol...

You know, I agree with you, even after my long post about how the paparazzi are just part of the Hollywood landscape. I do believe that. BUT, I also agree with you that they are out of control. However, they are now a known quantity. If you want the life and get the success you hope for, you will be stalked. No getting around it.

She should start every sentence with " I'm sorry to say this, but..."
That way, she'll get the apology over with before she says anything stupid.
