This is why I never read these stupid things. There is only one female tennis player who could ever be called the hottest female tennis player in the history of tennis, and that is Anna. The Williams sisters? Jankovic? Really? There are only about 3 chicks on this whole list that could even carry Anna's racket, let alone be considered the hottest female tennis player ever. I don't follow tennis and I don't know most of them, but based on these pictures (a single photo can be deceiving), I'd have to say Ana Ivanovic. Maybe a strong second to Aravane Rezai.

I object to the question.

I can't help but notice that none of the articles about men in sports are similar to this, asking a question like, "Which Major League Baseball player is displaying the biggest b@ll sack?"

All these folks decrying this post for being sexist or trivial have to come down from their high horse. Come on, just come on down. Look, there are lots of very important matters that we all spend a lot of energy on, but sometimes we need to just relax and indulge ourselves with a bit of trashy indulgence like this. Yeah, some of these players are totally hot so we ogle them. So what? Others enjoy looking at hot male tennis players. Again, so what? The problem is the disparity between the "hook" for the women's sports stories and the men's sports stories. Look at the whole page. See any other women's sports stories?

HP purports to have a political purpose and a consciousness of such matters. Some follow-through and evenhandedness would be nice.

Why don't those who want "hot" go to Playboy or somewhere that such coverage is consistent with the publication's stated purpose?

Lulubelle, I think you are giving HuffPo way too much credit. This is may be a place for political purpose and consciousness, but it's also a place for celebrity gossip and other trivial crap. Did you see the article that speculates about LeBron's mom having sex with one of his teammates? How about the articles about that Montag girl and all her surgeries or the story about the guy having sex with a horse. It's not a big deal. We can't be all serious all the time. We can't always be trying to save the planet. Sometimes, we need a bowl of ice cream, plop down on the couch, and watch a trashy, insipid show like Real Housewives or Jersey Shore. (Not me, I only watch History Channel and National Geographic or a very cerebral show on PBS).

Also, I noticed that your avatar is quite sexy, with the strapless dress and the tops of the bosoms spilling out. Perhaps it's too sexy for HuffPo and should be for fans of the Playboy site? See, you are using sex appeal as well. And there's nothing wrong with that. I think we can appreciate the sexiness of people but in a way that's not exploitative. I think noting the relative hotness of female tennis players is totally within bounds of acceptability.
