We're all saddened by Rue McClanahan's passing away this week, leaving Betty White as the last surviving "Golden Girl." As Blanche Devereaux, the Georgia peach with a promiscuous reputation, Rue wooed audiences with her complex innuendos and Southern twang. Take a stroll down memory lane with this compilation of Blanche's funniest moments on "The Golden Girls," followed by a hilariously random video called "Rue McClanahan's Cat Party" that we threw in for good measure.

Blanche holds up her hand for Dorothy to look at her huge diamond ring. Blanches says "Look what John gave me!". Dorothy says "Age spots?"

The show was hilarious...we are lucky to be able to still enjoy it. Rue was my favorite.

I have been watching Rue M. since the Norman Lear days: Archie Bunker, Maude, to name a few...
I will forever miss her stardom...
Bea, Estelle and now Rue are gone. We still have Betty White holding the fort for The Golden Girls ...Fortunately.
I think that I am finally going to bake a cheese cake in their honor...
Rue, May You FOREVER Rest In Peace!
Three Cheers To You!

My sincerest compliment is simply "Thank You for being a Friend". You have enriched my life by knowing that good people still exist.

R.I.P. Dear Lady !.......

My favorite episode of the Golden Girls, was when Blanche's father (Big Daddy) came to visit them, and Blanch was surprised to hear he planned to re-marry ! Blanche kept referring to her father so much as "Big Daddy," that Dorothy replied at one point, supplying the name of "Big Mommy" as the only name her dearly, departed mother could have possibly had. R.I.P., Rue, you and the rest of the delightful ladies of the Golden Girls, will always be in America's heart, and most of us still enjoy watching your old shows, because they're syndicated, and is still shown daily all over America !

The perfect ensemble show. It must have been great for them all to achieve yet another fame in their mid life. And then again in Sordid Lives for Rue!

One of the cable networks ran a Golden Girls marathon. It was great, my wife and I are still quoting.

I loved the time Dorothy explained to Blanche why she shouldn't be "on top" and then Blanche gets a mirror and looks down only to be mortified!!!

Such funny funny ladies! Rest in Peace Rue you were a very funny and classy lady.

I can't believe The Rusty Anchor or the Lesbian/Lebanese clips didn't make the list. But there was one scene with Blanche I'll never forget because it was one of the few times I choked on my drink. Blanche was telling a story when she was in Ms. MvGyvers School for girls and the headmistress pulled a bed check while she was with her latest beau. She said, "I tried to handle it like a lady. I very politely waved hello over Bobby Jo's shoulder with my foot"

I totally agree! The funniest Blanche episode is the "Danny Thomas was Lesbian." I don't know why that one didn't make the list!

There are so many great Golden Girls moments ... off the top of my head, a couple of my favorite Blanche moments were when she found out from Dorothy and Sophia that Dorothy's child hood friend was in love with Rose, confusing "lesbian" with "lebanese (wasn't Danny Thomas one?) and then getting angry that the friend hadn't chosen her over Rose ... hilarious scene from start to finish for all three ladies!

And, the whole in-vitro fertilization episode with her daughter - that cheesecake scene was a classic!

too many to list!
