Jimmy Fallon vs Craig Ferguson: The Cutest Late Night War Ever (VIDEO)

First Posted: 06/10/10 05:10 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 05:45 PM ET

We've got a new late-night war on our hands! But replace all the bickering and shady deals with cuteness and giant Mickey Mouse hands. The last couple nights have seen late-night competitors Craig Ferguson and Jimmy Fallon wave at each other with giant, novelty cartoon hands. It's great to see these two have such a sense of humor about everything that's transpired in the past 6 months.

What I found very cool was the fact that, just for fun, I strated Craig's clip, then Jimmy's, and I got both clips in sync in such a way that they both waved to each other at the same time! That makes it so much fun and I don't think I could do that again if I tried.

Oh, my!

I really love both these guys, and I don't understand the h8 directed towards Jimmy by so many of you. Anyone that doubts his talent needs to do a search for his rendition of "Pants on the Ground" as Neil Young. It cracks me up EVERY TIME. And it is dead-on perfect.

What a couple of hand jobs.

I like Jimmy, but no one is better than Craig. Anyone who doubts needs to look up the two videos of Ewan McGregor's visit on the show. Too crazy Scotsmen having a blast. The show where he and Stephen Fry talked for the whole hour was brilliant too. I'd love an hour with Hugh Laurie or Laurie and Fry together with Craig. I LOVE CraigyFerg!

It's really too bad that all "enemies" couldn't handle their differences this way! I knew when Craig threw down the "gauntlet" or the "Hamburger Helper Hand" that Jimmy would respond... but when he breaks into that wave...that was pretty hysterical!

The least funny talkshow war ever.

The Colbert-Conan one a few years ago was the best.

Craig is very funny and original. The best thing on late night.

Fallon-- how did he ever get the job? I don't get what anyone sees in him.

Don't worry, I don't think anyone else does either. That said I saw an interview with him recently, he is funnier and much more intelligent than i would have thought.

The ratings are so low at that time that it's hard to believe anyone cares. To be honest, I like both these guys. I typically watch Craig, but I've got no problem swapping back and forth.

heh heh - how can both of these guys be annoying but AWESOME at the same time? Trick of the trade I guess... Keep up the good work.

I agree that both these guys can be annoying but awesome at the same time. It's part of their charm.

I guess b/c I find Craig se+y, I am biased However, IMO, he is still the funniest, most original and a guy who can fly by the seat of his pants without a teleprompter and still make a person laugh. That unscripted spontaneity is just very unusual in these guys now. In saying that, I find comedy one of the hardest things to do successfully and do it with longevity and creativity.. I wish someone would give Craig a chance with a different venue, get him out of this late-night mess,(juvenile), and let him spread his wings and fly. I think comedians are the closest to genius we will find in our lives, second only to nuclear physicists.(I only know two of them and they don't make me laugh)

Me too! I think Craig is really handsome!

InnerThetan, I couldn't agree more! That's why Craig is my Avatar picture and my user name is genius. I saw Craig's live stand up show two years ago and I swear this man is brilliant. I still haven't seen his movie "Saving Grace" yet, I'm too busy watching his priceless YouTube clips.
Denis Leary is on tonight, I wonder if he will "dress" for the occasion? That's an inside joke to some. They just need to get with the program!
