Bill Ritter Signs 'Punish Chrysler' Bill Into Law

Chrysler faces major fines for disobeying recently enacted Colorado auto franchise laws under another bill signed Thursday by Gov. Bill Ritter.

Senate Bill 201, sponsored by Sens. Shawn Mitchell, R-Broomfield, and Chris Romer, D-Denver, allows the Colorado Department of Revenue to impose fines of between $10,000 and $25,000 a day on auto manufacturers that disobey state franchise law.
