Debrahlee Lorenzana, who claimed she was fired by a New York City Citibank branch for being too good-looking, has beefed up her legal team.

Lorenzana has hired Gloria Allred, a high-powered feminist lawyer who also represents alleged Tiger Woods mistress Rachel Uchitel, RadarOnline reports. In a statement, Allred told RadarOnline that Lorenzana "has been unfairly and viciously attacked in the media for having the courage to step forward and take a stand against blatant sex discrimination and retaliation."

Last week, according to the New York Post, Lorenzana, 33, returned to her job at a New York City JPMorgan office. Her return, reports the New York Daily News , "came days after her [former] lawyer claimed Chase was threatening to fire her for speaking out against Citi."

Lorenzana has certainly not been shy about making media appearances. She appeared on the "Today Show" -- and in this slideshow by the Village Voice, which was the first media outlet to report on Lorenzana's case.

In a 2003 Discovery Channel program, Lorenzana -- when she was 26 -- detailed her second breast surgery, and even said she wanted to look like a "Playboy Playmate." "I love plastic surgery," Lorenzana said. Watch a clip a of the program here. (WARNING: graphic images.)

HP, why even invoke Tiger Wood's name? Not necessary. Case has own merit sans the sensationalism.

I don't know. The fact that it's the same lawyer is a little telling and a detail that probably should not be left out. I think it's for each person to judge whether that fact matters or not.

Something about this whole thing seems a bit fishy to me...
She may have been harassed, but now it seems like she's out for publicity for herself...
Life is strange...

"harassed"? She's not claiming harassment. She's claiming anti-harassment! They forced her to de-emphasize her surgically-enhanced attributes.

Certainly any employer can stress appropriate dress at the workplace as long as it is uniformly enforced and applied. However, if her presentation was not markedly different from other professional women in the workplace, yes, it would be viewed as harassment.

She might be fishing for a rich guy, but that's not the point. The point is whether there is a dress code and whether it is consistently applied.

She LOVES plastic surgery? Geez. That makes for a good impression.

I agree.

Maybe I shouldn't, but I tend to view those that make the decision to get any plastic surgery as individuals that have inherently flawed decision making processes. I'm including women and even men who get calf or tricep implants (they are out there.)

Stated another way. If I had children and I knew someone had plastic surgery I would attempt to limit there exposure to my children.

I'm curious if other people feel the same way.

(I don't think her plastic surgery automatically makes her words and intentions disingenuous, but her comments on the documentary make me think it's more likely.)

In my previous post on this thread: by "any plastic surgery" I meant purely cosmetic surgery. Not someone born with a physical deformity or someone that sustained some type of injuries.

Breast augmentation or nose jobs or tummy tucks would be equivalent to me getting a doc to cut up my ears because everyone used to tell me they were huge. People should realize overcoming that type of criticism is a source of personal strength and doing the opposite is a sign of internal weakness. Of course, this is only my opinion.

In my opinion, nature made us the way we were for a reason.

Oh, you give her to much credit, she's looking for the easy money, why work for it sue somebody

When I first heard this story I was a bit confused, since I work in a bank and know that women if you are pretty, outgoing and people friendly tend to make their way up the chain a bit quicker, because of the nature of the business. So now that I have heard more about this woman I just picture her standing at her teller window, hoping some rich older man, happens to fall in love with her cleavage and sweeps off her feet and into a Penthouse, but then maybe she should just try out for Penthouse and just go away, with all that is going wrong in this world and women who are seriously getting sexually and verbally harassed at work, she should be ashamed, but then I don't think she knows how.

I've been reading the comments and it would appear that most think the way I do. From the moment I read this story I could smell the wood burning. I knew there was something wrong with this "lady" and knew it would end up in a law suit. Does "out of court settlement" mean anything?
She really deserves nothing because I think she was warned about her "dress attire" and chose not to listen. I don't have anything about a women dressing however she wants but business is business and we have to have some rules, like it or not.

I agree. It's a bit harder to imagine sexual harassment when it comes in the form asking to be more business appropriate. Question: even if the dress code was unfairly applied... is that really sexual harassment? Isn't true workplace sexual harassment the complete opposite when a man would touch or make obscene comments/gestures?

Second question: Shouldn't we be calling this a case of "unfair application of workplace policies."

I just feel women who face sexual harassment (as i described above) deserve the two situations to be differentiated.

Maybe i don't understand. I'm just a guy.

I'm not sure about that. I think it raises questions about workplace sexual harassment that should be discussed.

Anyone want to take bets of the over/under of how many months go by before this one is naked in a magazine? The current line is 5 months.

Have you seen the video of hers posted above where she talks about her breast augmentation surgery.

It was her ambition to look like, and I quote, "A playboy model" and "somewhere between Pamela Anderson and Carmen Electra"

I'm not kidding.

Even her own plastic surgeon that performed the operation though it was a bad idea and told her so, and managed to prevent her from going even bigger (on the third time).

So Playboy photospread? Kind of a given at this point. She just needs to reach the point when she realizes that those "looks" are going to go away soon and gravity will begin to dictate how her body looks.
And maybe that's what this lawsuit is all about; she suddenly realized she's at that point.

She's an investment banker I thought? The likelihood of her posing for some measly one time payout vs. lifetime earnings and bonuses as an investment banker - well, no one is that dumb.

She's not an investment banker; she dealt with banking clients and client relations. BIG difference.

And here's the money quote from the documentary: "I see everyone getting engaged. I see everyone getting married except me." Hmmm. What could be the reason? All of the men she meet probably see the same the rest of us see when watching this video. A shallow, insecure girl with nothing to offer a mature, confident, successful male. Now that this video has gone viral her law suits are as good as dead.

That's what I said before. This lawsuit is going down in flames once the defense lawyers get their hands on that video and give their own play-by-play breakdown to the jury or the judge.

Lots and LOTS of incriminating material in that video - I mean, "Pamela Anderson"? "Carmen Electra"? "Playboy model"? In fact it wouldn't surprise me if it was the Lawyers that discovered this video and released it virally to contaminate the Jury pool and kill the case before it got to court.
Personally I think they should just let it go to court - they'll make a meal out of her - Gloria Allred or not.

Oh and by the way, I hope she realizes she's not getting any younger and it shows. She better have a ton more plastic surgery if she wants anyone to think she's "too hot," because right now she looks like just another average looking girl who's trying to be famous.

"Oh and by the way, I hope she realizes she's not getting any younger and it shows."

I think, that that's what this whole Lawsuit is all about.

If you watched the video, you might have heard her mention that one of her life ambitions was to attract a confident successful good-looking man. Well, she's practically in her mid-thirties now and there's still no good-looking rich hubbie to be found, and that (breast augmentation) investment needs to be paid off somehow.

That's why she's suing for $$$$ to afford a ton more plastic surgery so she will make Hustler magazine within 5 months.
