Josh Hartnett's vacating his lavish Williamsburg penthouse, and for the small monthly price of $9,000, you can rent it!

The 2,645-square-foot apartment boasts a 1,450-square-foot terrace with a jacuzzi, "a chef's kitchen, flat-screen TVs, a state-of-the art music/video system, a gas fireplace and 13-foot ceilings," reports the New York Post.

The 13-foot ceilings cater well to the floor-to-ceiling windows, which overlook the East River and display views of both the Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines.

Hartnett's former digs occupy the top of the Grestch Building, a once musical-instrument factory on 60 Broadway.

What kind of person would waste $9,000 on RENT?!

I know it's NYC but that makes no financial sense. I don't own, so who am I to talk, but if you have that much money to blow, why not buy your own spot?

He doesn't have the penthouse at the Gretch, Anthony Hopkins does. I know this because I used to do bike delivery in Williamsburg and delivered food to this building (60 Broadway) ALL the time.
That said, the apartments on the top two floors (below the actual penthouse) all have outdoor decks and are totally swanky. There are tons of celebrities in that building. TONS.

How long ago did you live in Williamsburg? Things have changed there. Rents are comparable with Manhattan now.

I've been having this debate with my girlfriend: are you a hipster because you set trends, or you follow the most on the cusp trend? I say follow. You are the middle man between your geek/fashion/media fetish and the public at large.

That might be why he's putting his apartment up for rent . . .?

what the heck is original about a hipster?
09:17 PM on 06/18/2010
I was referring to the original definition

a true hipster would have nothing to do with this actor
