Milan Jovanovic GOAL VIDEO: Serbia Strikes Against Germany

Milan Jovanovic Goal Video Serbia Germany

First Posted: 06/18/10 09:23 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 05:50 PM ET

Germany utterly dominated Australia last weekend, one of the few overwhelming performances during the first week of the 2010 World Cup.

The Germans were again heavy favorites today against Serbia, but things are not going as planned for the country. First, 2006 Golden Boot winner Miroslav Klose received his second yellow card -- and therefore, a debilitating red card -- in the 36th minute. Playing shorthanded, Serbia took advantage, scoring a goal just one minute later. 29-year-old Milan Jovanovic knocked the ball in at the 37-minute mark.

The goal was enough for Serbia, which held on to defeat Germany, 1-0. Scroll down for video, and click here for stunning photos from the game.

'Nkay, every few hours or so jus' gotta check in an' VENT!!! Those Germans have GOT to get their act together!!!
Why would any of you want Podolksi to go??? (Greenwise, great moniker but where is your thinking cap, young man (Pod's jus' sooooo very very cute :)))))
and please get the name right, Miroslav Klose, not Kluse! (and he's cute, too:)))
Schweinsteiger is awesome as well (yes, and he's so cute, too).

The whole freakin' team is adora-bellllll!

Gosheee geeze, please, boys, Nationalmannschaft, get with it!!! We're counting on you!!! Even all the Ami's -- they know they don't have much of a team, so, grudgingly, like so many other nations' fans, they, too, are (secretly) rooting for Germany! DEUTSCHLAND!

Hugs, eine ganz ganz ganz grosse Umarmung aus den USA --

Eure Evita Luisa -- fuer immer u. ewig :))))

Germany will crush Ghana in the last match. No African team will reach the quarter final. They have improved their skills, but not good enough for the top European and South, Middle American teams.

An NFL ref would have flaged that one for the celebration after the goal.

The yellow card game. Way to many penalties were handed out.

Sure it was a quick to card ref, but hey, by the time Klose got the second one that was hardly a secret, was it?

You can't whine too much if your team has a PK...and misses it!

Don't get the big deal. Soccer's boring. Want a real sport? Try rugby.

Oh, that's right....too physical and difficult for most of the world.

Huh? People play rugby all over the world.

Well yeah, Germany was down one player. Looking at the yellow card's it looks like Serbia was overly aggresive on the defence. But Germany's forward Kluse got the red. The officiating is really questionable.
