The Senate's Yale bulldogs include Sen. John Kerry (D-MA), Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI). Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT) (above), Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Sen. Jim Jeffords (I-VT) and Sen. Bill Nelson (D-FL).

There is an obsession in this country with Ivy League universities. Its rediculous. There are good and bad professors at any university. Some have more than others, but overall its a mixed bag. I like public universities and had great profs there, and I could care less about Hoopla Hoop University.

In fact, all these Senators from Yale are missing from your list:

Sherrod Brown, Amy Klobuchar, Arlen Spector, James Jeffords, Bill Nelson

Yale should therefore be in first place.

Sherrod Brown of Ohio went to Yale. Which means your Yale total is wrong.

How the heck do you elect a man to the Senate named Saxby? Oh wait, it's Georgia. Saxby would be fancy and all down there.

I've never been able to hold Harvard and Yale in very high esteem, as I once did, knowing that the idiot that left the white house a couple of years ago had degrees from both. In my ignorance I actually thought that the ivy league schools were above "selling" degrees. I never realized that they were on the same level as Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Miami and so many others.

Of course they are the same as the others, they just market themselves differently.

This list missed several Senators who graduated from Yale College. Sherrod Brown (D-OH), Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), and Bill Nelson (D-FL) are all Elis, although Nelson transferred in. And, for those keeping score, that means that Yale produced 6 Senators, none of which are Republican (at least in name; Lieberman is on the list after all).

Still, Klobuchar, Brown, Whitehouse, and to a slightly lesser degree, Kerry have all done good work in the Senate.

Waste of money and space sending these wortheless human beings to college. Should have left a space for more fruitful individuals.

Kent Conrad is actually a Democrat from ND, and not a Republican like it's mentioned.

Well it..... depends.

No doubt about the Radcliffe girls...but Vitter at Harvard is pretty hard to believe. Does this list assume these are institutions they graduated from?

Yes. Typo. Thanks for catching it.

Can't believe Leiberman graduated from Yale....not something they're proud of, I'm sure.

Along with the other omissions and problems with this article, Kent Conrad is a Democrat.
