This is outrageous, this contract should be immediately rescinded. Our Government is awarding contracts to private Armies that in essence will get further enriched and then will use that money to become even stronger. At some point our Leadership has descended into lunacy. When does it stop. I'm sure that at some point the Weimar Government realized that Hitlers private army had also gotten to huge but by  Read More...

I predict that Blackwater, or XE, will join the Tea Party-SArah Pailn groups and attack this country one day. Or have I watched to much 24 in the past? Hmmm...

The possibility for a military coup in the USA will not be from our own military, but from a mercenary army like Blackwater.

Gosh I'm so glad we've been able to change so much in a couple of years. It looks like the government is an enormous moving ball of slime no one can actually either stop or divert.

Whew! What a relief. We can carry on with status quo while we learn to speak Chinese.

Maybe we should move to China, after all, that's where our jobs went.

The Bush Administration purposely privatized as many of the military roles as they could in 8 years. Blackwater became the primary go-to mercenary company, not because of their reputation or effectiveness, but because of the owner's ties to Cheney. Imagine that, a private mercenary army based in the USA. It's going to be difficult for Obama to stop using outside contractors like Blackwater at the snap of a finger. He will get a lot of reistance from the Penmtagon, who not only have incestual relations with the military industrial complex, but also with contractors like Blackwater.

People in this coutnry are concerned about the apprarent growing numbers of militia extremists. What they should really be worried about is Blackwater.

If you voted for Obama you were probably against Mercenary thugs shooting people in the streets. But notice that it has now been two years and team Obama is still handing those Mercenaries NEW contracts.

Crazy person, did you not see who's administration was giving them the money?
02:57 AM on 06/21/2010
Notice how quiet Hillary is about this. Have to pay off those campaign expenses somehow.
10:11 AM on 06/21/2010
Especially since she was to the right of President Obama and would have been more likely to use companies like Blackwater.

How did America make it thru WWII and the Korean War without Blackwater type entities? They say their mission is security but I think we've figured out they may be fighting some illegal little battles on their own that utilitize rules of war not authorized by our country or the U.N.

The contractors of war have no incentive to win or end a war, the contracts are too profitable. Just ask Halliburton if Xe won't answer. Oh, almost forgot, Cheney has already handled that pesky little problem of full disclosure for the secret portions of the U.S. military budget.

What bothers me the most, is that there is even a 120 mill contract to be given. Couldn't that money been redirected elsewhere? Is this the price we are paying to keep from sending more of our own troops over? Clarification is needed. Someone. Anyone.

Are they the only "store" in Town? If not, than I don't understand how a company like Xe gets a job doing security when they have a "bloodied record.
