Vatican: Blues Brothers A 'Catholic Classic'

In a stunning move by the Vatican, the classic Dan Aykroyd-John Belushi comedy film "The Blues Brothers" was declared a "Catholic classic" alongside more pious films such as "The Ten Commandments" and "The Passion of the Christ."

For some of us the only "Catholic Classic" is the pedophilia. Sad but true.

Too often lay Catholics in the police departments, in DA's offices, in elected office, and in the news media itself have prevented proper investigation and prosecution of pedophile priests.

Finally there is a police force and a government taking action against the foreign pedophile ring of one religion -- the Roman Catholics.

It is long over due. Too bad it is the Belgians and not the USA.

That is a sick sick remark. There is no 'pedophile ring'. There have been some homosexual priests just as there are other homosexual clerics...the universities are full of them! Male homosexuals are often pederastic, but NOT pedophiles. Are you anti-homosexual or just anti-Catholic? Anti Catholic nonsense! There are still neo conspirators like the Nazis and certain fundamentalist churches in the south that have always been anti Catholic. If you don't understand it, refrain from commenting on it. Pedophiles are just as prevalent in other church denominations as anywhere else!

The Vatican is singing the Blues itself as that clown Cardinal Bertone protests the Belgian police raiding the Catholic headquarters and digging into the tombs of two archbishops to look for damaging evidence of continuing priestly pederasty in Belgium.

Now, the time has finally arrived for Premier Berlusconi to end the fiction of the independet Vatican State by tearing up the Concordat between the Holy See and the Italian Government. Send in the troops and the police to confiscate the Vatican tape collection those horny old cardinals are hiding of little boys committing sex acts, and seize Pope Benedict's subscription renewal to Adam4Adam.

Even if Berlusconi doesn't tear up the Concordat, there is no excuse for our own government to refuse to take action against this foreign government -- the Vatican, and against what it claims are its US-based independent people -- bishops and cardinals -- who are protecting US pedophiles who prey on US children.

And all of this the Vatican Government does on US soil.

It is an affront to our national sovereignty. And the State Department does nothing.

Why? I suspect it is because they are politically afraid that lay Catholics will defend the Catholic Church in its protection of pedophiles, using state and federal elections to ensure our elected politicians let pedophiles abuse American children in US churches.

I'm surprised HP hasn't said a word about the Belgian authorities day before yesterday raiding the Catholic headquarters in Brussels to confiscate extremely damaging records and tapes of known sexual abuse and the Church's continuing cover up in Beligium with obvious Vatican full knowledge and cooperation.

It is not just in Beligum.

Here they refuse to hand over their confidential files on sex abuse to police.

In some cases completely refuse. In other cases hand over the files only after police independently find out a priest is suspected of sexually abusing children and subpoena the files.

The movie is a masterpiece and I could not agree more! The scene where they were being swatted by the nun brought back some memories of the class room for me [I was one of the few who were never swatted] Right down to the desks and the crucifixes this was all to real but funny! There are a lot of lessons to be learned by this great comedy!
