"Stop talking about jobs being lost in a murderous, hateful industry as a bad thing.

To those who complain that jobs will be lost in the offshore drilling business, "F*ck your jobs!" That goes double for burning coal & chopping down redwoods. Sorry roughnecks, but eventually you're going to have to find something else to do. Try building windmills. All that happens when they fall into the sea  Read More...

Mr. President:

5 days after the disaster, I sent a note saying that the Deepwater Horizon event was slowly becoming your Katrina. Today, I am said to report this has become your Katrina, Frederic, Elena, Camille, and Betsy, plus three mile island, love canal, bhopal, chernobyl, DDT, agent orange, Cuyahoga River, Gulf Dead Zone, triangle shirtwaist, teapot dome, etc.

You should come back and walk the beaches now. Orange moussy oil is rolling in from Mississipp to Florida. Let the public see it uncleaned.

Additionally, ignore the judges order for a moratorium. I know, what worse can happen? But I am of a mindset that there is something very wrong going on below the seafloor and it is best to let the public know it.

Thirdly, emergency unemployment at 100% of salary and tips should be made available to cover for what BP is not covering for workers along the coastal counties and parishes. Many more workers are being affected indirectly that BP refuses to cover,

Fourthly, Vessels of Opportunity is a crock. BP is hiring subcotractors who are hiring out of state recreational boaters who sit on the water and do nothing!!!

Fifth, ban the use of the dispersent.

Sixthly, Your $20 Billion is a fraud. We actually read behind the headline, FIX IT.

Your ineffectiveness is starting to smell like gross negligence or complicity with criminal activities,

Well, since the very best argument against it is in how the sea floor is cracked --

And, since this Obama administration REFUSES to admit that the sea floor is cracked --

This administration has ALREADY declined to defend the moratorium.

Perhaps the moratorium should be lifted only for those who have a proven safety record, which it sounds like, is anyone but BP.
Re dispersants, I saw a woman on Campbell Brown 3 or 4 weeks ago who said all or nearly all of the Exxon-Valdez cleanup crew were DEAD. Their average lifespan was FIFTY ONE. Funny I haven't seen that story ANYWHERE since.

note that the EPA asked BP to stop using it and they ignored them.

WTF? WTF? WTF? WTF? Did I really vote for this guy? What a TREMENDOUS dissapointment. WTF--There's going to be a better time/opportunity to move forward on a green energy policy? Obama is such a f-ink whimp. I really hate him at this point.

Since bush v Gore, I have been getting more and more depressed. All the bull that we are told is building up and never stops. This last flap about Afghanistan is so stupid, we should be talking about leaving. and the gulf, I feel like shooting myself every time I see those poor animals. That's Why I don't own a gun.

The only thing this president is decisive about is how to lure a mass. I'd hate to see this guy decide what he wants on a pizza, though Im sure Rahm Emanuel would suggest anchovy heads and the President would want something with less substance.

Obama never ceases to disappoint. It would be nice if just once he took a stand and stood by it. He blows with the wind and we pay the price. Is the cost of providing a few jobs worth the destruction of our environment?
