Michele Bachmann Stars In Anti-Socialism Documentary From Church That Links Darwin To Holocaust (VIDEO)

Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) is breaking into the movie business with a starring role in a new documentary that explores the dangers of socialism.

The flick, titled "Socialism: A Clear and Present Danger," is promoted as offering a glimpse into "the real-world results of Marx and his many followers - and why their failed ideas violate God's Word."

Bachmann is identified on the film's website as an anti-socialism expert, and the documentary features footage of Stalin, Castro, Mao, and Chavez woven together with clips of President Obama. According to Bachmann, if the country continues along its current course, "it could mean the sinking of our civilization."

The Minnesota Independent reports that Bachmann advises Americans, in the film, to pay taxes as Jesus would have wanted:

"What Jesus said, 'Render to Caesar that which is Caesar's, and render unto God that which is God's,' so there certainly is a place for us to pay taxes to government. That's legitimate. We should do that as Jesus instructs," she said.

She continued, "But we render to God that which is God's and the Bible calls for, approximately we are thinking of tithe, maybe 10 percent that we are giving to God, but beyond that we also give to charity. Jesus didn't ask government to be the charity; he asks the the individual and the church to be charitable."

Christian broadcaster James Kennedy's Coral Ridge Ministries, responsible for producing the film, made headlines back in 2006 for making a documentary connecting Charles Darwin's theory of evolution to Adolf Hitler and the Holocaust. The Anti-Defamation League offered sharp criticism of the film's creation and producers at the time.

Earlier this year, Bachmann asserted that health care reform was "the crown jewel of socialism" -- a claim that the nonpartisan fact-checking group PolitiFact rated as a "Pants On Fire" falsehood.
