Dan Abrams, Scott Pelley To Host Discovery ID Shows

The digital cable channel Investigation Discovery announced Monday that it is adding two high-profile broadcasters to its programming lineup: NBC News chief legal analyst and former MSNBC anchor/boss Dan Abrams and "60 Minutes" correspondent Scott Pelley.

True crime show "Chasing Justice With Dan Abrams" will look at all sides of a single case that was featured on NBC's "Dateline" and examine how it affected the people involved, exploring "the events of the crime, the investigation, the trial, and ultimately, the verdict."

"60 Minutes On ID," a spin-off of the CBS newsmagazine, will focus on updates of stories featured on the original "60 Minutes." The network announcement says that viewers will "get the inside story behind each investigation from the people who lived it firsthand." Unlike its more famous counterpart, however, the show will only run for 30 minutes.

"60 Minutes On ID" premieres on July 12 at 8 PM ET. "Chasing Justice" will follow at 8:30.
