Even celebrities had trouble getting access to Apple's coveted iPhone 4.
Actor Jason Bateman's shortcut was to cut thousands in line for the iPhone (for which he was roundly booed), while NFL Lineman Stacey Andrews took a different approach.
Andrews, an offensive guard for the Philadelphia Eagles, approached Brittany Hightower at a WalMart, introduced himself, and offered to buy her brand-new iPhone 4 (the last at the Little Rock superstore) for $1,000.
Hightower refused--but then later agreed to sell him the phone for $2,000. (The handset normally costs $599 (16GB) or $699 (32GB), without contract.)
