There are tons of ridiculous products dog owners can spoil their pets with like tattoos, dresses, and even dog beer, but this may one of the most ridiculous of all.

Well at least they're not skinning them alive. I hope the dye is safe.

TLC just ran a show about a groomer competition where the groomers dyed and groomed their dogs to look like other animals or with intricate shaved in designs, its not just China that's doing this. Got to say, I have probably never laughed so hard at a tv show.

I originally had an issue with this...but I don't see any harm, especially since most of these dogs live better than me.

hope it's not some kind of radioactive, cadmium-and-melamine based dye

They exported colored pelts in fur coats for sale in Macy's and Nordstom. How do you think they discovered / perfected dyeing the pups to begin with. ICK! PETA found them in stores; and ran tests.

At first I didn't think it was a big deal, but then the vet said its more harmful to them because they have thinner skin so.... Its a no no.

Ya nothing like ripping a dogs fur off while it screams in agony. My cousin lived in China for years and thats exactly how they get their furs and their meals.

Talk about a waste of money... seeing as the average farmer's salary is nowhere near 300 dollars, per year!
