Okay will the guilty parties please step forward and admit to criminal wrong doing in exchange for immunity and amnesty. One would be surprise at what Human Rights commission finds. So if there are any members of the Senate and Congress that have violated the U.S Constitution on Civil liberties, Federal and State laws. Now is the time to come clean with We the People of America before judgment day (November 2, 2010).

Spies told to reveal instructions which 'turned blind eye to torture'

Spies told to reveal instructions which 'turned blind eye to torture'

MI5 and MI6 have been ordered by a High Court judge to release secret guidelines which human rights groups claim instructed spies to turn a blind eye to the torture of British terror suspects abroad.

The guidelines will be released to six British former Guantanamo Bay detainees who are suing the Government for allegedly being complicit in their torture by the Americans.

The guidelines were issued to agents in 2002 and 2004.

‘We believe they will reveal a policy of complicity to torture, which explains all these cases over the years of MI5 agents knowing a Briton is being tortured but doing nothing about it,’ said Katherine O’Shea of Reprieve, a charity which has given legal help to former Guantanamo Bay detainees.

The release is likely to damage David Miliband, the front-runner to become Labour leader. As Foreign Secretary, he told Parliament that the Government was never complicit in the torture of Britons abroad.

When President Obama declared that now is a time for reflection rather than retribution, what little restraint there might have been on the behavior of the CIA, the FBI, and the military and those they contract was clearly removed. The right wing has a fantasy that these organizations will restrict their criminal activities to their dealings with Muslims and Arabs and Persians - the new leading targets of right wing bigotry. Soon enough they will find that criminal activities will not be restrained in that way. Eventually it will just be the insiders versus the outsiders and the insiders will cull their membership.

We can hope that human rights advocates will expose such events.

But they probably won't be able to stop them.

Too bad.

Liberalism-Ideas so good-they're MANDATORY

Liberals have never liked the CIA, except when it suited their partisan purposes. That's fine: There's much not to like about the agency, and the U.S. might well be better off without its bungled operations and laughable intelligence estimates. But having shouted themselves hoarse over Mrs. Wilson, their enthusiasm for this new round of outing is a bit unseemly. Especially when lives are actually at stake. Especially when a liberal president has pledged to protect those lives.

Well if you are investigating Human RIghts it only makes sense that you would investigate the people who did the wetwork for Bush/Cheney and are doing it now for our accessory after the act Obama.

Justice has been denied by Obama's protection of war crimes abusers and his refusal to open records. The only way history will be balanced is by brave people shedding light on their illegal and immoral system.

The only way to explain the Obama Administration is that the Obama's were all Cloned while they slept the night of Jan 21, 2009 from POD's left next to they beds at the WH. For everything is night & day, when comparing the campaign to the administration.

Amendment 6 - Right to Speedy Trial, Confrontation of Witnesses. Ratified 12/15/1791.

In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the State and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the Assistance of Counsel for his defence.

Seems pretty straightforward to me. Why is there even a question?

Because the Constitution is a tool to use or shred, depending on whom those in power consider enemies.

The Constitution became irrelevant with the end of WW2 and the creation of the empire. We let the warnings of Eisenhower fall on deaf ears and now see the results...

To a conservative, everyone with an independent thought is an enemy. The Pharisees and Sadducees were conservatives.

The CIA has outgrown its usefullness and now is more dangerous to America than anything in the world today. They fund a private mercenary army and no one cares...they have no real congressional oversight and no one cares. We don't know what it is they really do now that the USSR has disappeared and no one really cares....This really is beginning to appear as the beginning of the end of America as we once thought it was.

Attacking defense lawyers for doing their jobs too well ... do we need any more proof our nation has degenerated into an Orwellian farce?
01:11 AM on 06/29/2010
Obama is super disappointing in his continuation of Bush Admin thuggery. What a farce he's quickly become.

Unfortunately, this is another instance of Obama defending and expanding Bush's abuse of human rights and the whistle blowers who seek to uncover those abuses.
