'Clueless' Calvin Klein Dress Reissued By Francisco Costa (PHOTOS)

Calvin Klein designer Francisco Costa is bringing back Cher's white dress from Clueless, thanks to a request from Ilaria Urbinati, co-owner of the LA-based label Confederacy, Vogue UK reports.

"I went into a spazzy explanation of how my formative-years love of Calvin was partly based on the little white Calvin mini dress Alicia Silverstone wears in Clueless," Urbinati told Daily Front Row. "I re-enacted the entire scene for him (you know, 'Cher, what are you wearing?' 'A dress!' 'Says who?' 'Calvin Klein!' 'Well, go put something over it!' 'Duh, I was just going to!' and then she comes out with the clear trench). So of course I said, Francisco, you need to remake that dress."

And he agreed. The dress is now available in two colors--white and red--on Confederacy's website for the "as if!" price of $916.

That simple arse dress ....$916....give me a break.

Must be that new math: 16.00 for the actual dress + 900.00 for Calvin Klein's name.

Go get a Butterick pattern and some material and you can make the same dress for under $15 bucks.

its cute, not worth almost 1000 bucks, but for like 200 it would be more reasonable. I can quote clueless as much as the next person, but AS IF.
