I registered for youtube's partnership recently after one of my videos became somewhat popular (only 12 000 views). No cash yet though and I don't really expect there to be anytime soon.

It's sad that the dad would hawk his son for some petty money. His son was frightened and confused but the first thing that the dad did was to pull out the camera phone and record? $150K is nothing. He will burn through that in a couple of years. That one time video is not a sustainable revenue stream.

I am happy that an average family is doing well but $150,000 isn't enough to quit your job! What about two/three years from now, what then? That money won't last forever!

as long as the video keeps getting hits the cash will keep rolling in. Of course nothing can stay popular forever so in that sense your right.
