Saad Nabeel, Deported Southern Methodist University Student, Denied Visa

Saad Nabeel, the 19-year-old Texas student deported to Bangladesh earlier this year, has been denied a visa to come back to America.

According to the Dallas Morning News, Nabeel, who was brought to the U.S. with his parents at age 3, may be eligible to return to America in a decade.

The case of Nabeel, a reported "Taco Bell aficionado and Taylor Swift fanatic" studying electrical engineering at Southern Methodist University, has garnered considerable attention. The Morning News reports that more than 4,000 people joined a Facebook group to support his cause; students from his high school accumulated 400 signatures on a petition.

Authorities said Nabeel could apply again for a visa. Nabeel's lawyer has filed an appeal.

What do you think? Should Nabeel be allowed to return to America?
