Tanning Tax: Which Famous Face Will Be Hit The Hardest? (PHOTOS, POLL)

The tanning tax officially took effect on Thursday, meaning fake-and-bakers will have to pay the federal government 10% more to get their rays on. We rounded up the most sun-kissed, bronzed and orangest famous faces from D.C. to Hollywood to see who would be hit hard by the tanning tax. Your ignorance shines through in so many ways. 1.) Not just "blacks" get hair weaves (just as not only whites tan.) 2.) Hair weave is taxed when bought through the state's slaes tax and depending on the state, a Salon Tax when it's put in. 3.) The sun is still free.

I almost fell on the floor laughing at that one. I mean, who the else needs a tan but people without pigmentation. All I can say is, "I was born with mine!" and truely enjoy watching stupid people get skin cancer because they want to look like the same people the loathe. LOL, ROTMFF, LMAO!!!

Indoor tanning is neither fake nor bake. Ultraviolet light is ultraviolet light whether from the sun or a series of ultraviolet tanning lamps. Indoor tanning can't make a person orange. Threre are some cheap spray on solutions can, that would be fake, but not bake.

The electromagnetic spectrum is our lifesource and our bane. The tan tax is racial discrimination, and a burden on mom and pop businesses. Indoor tanners make up 10% of the 300 million citizens of this great country and are expected to help pay for a their healthcare.

There is no way that less than 20K salons are going to generate even a billion over a 10 year period. Indoor tanning fights unwarranted attacks form the WHO, IARC, the American Cancer Society who use biased studies and selected information from scientific studies.

Who will be next? Indoor tanning businesses are owned by families like yours with goals and bills and have the right to do business without government intervention. Food for thought; the indoor tanning industry is only 20 years old. Most scientific studies on UV light are over 20 years old. Do some research don't believe everything an agency or the government tells you.

Funny article, a tan can be sexy but some of these people have extremes. Can be an addiction - like a version of being addicted to plastic surgery, always trying to make yourself look desireable. Trip out on some of the hater's posting here. People automatically post "skin cancer" as if you're going to get it automatically. Does that mean you automatically contract an STD anytime you have sex? Or get lung cancer because you walked by an outdoor cafe that has smokers hanging around it? Take precautions and moderate people. Tons of other environmental toxins are in your food, makeup, and tons of other products that could contribute to many illnesses including cancers. Some of these people look terrible I agree but these people do not have the regular 9-5 life, mingle with regular folks, they're a bit removed so that contributes to a skewed view of themselves obviously I think. If the slide show were about who was the "pale-est" we'd see comments like: "goth" "corpse" "zombie" I bet so to each their own.

My dermatologist said sunshine all over the body a few minutes a day was ok. You would be surprised how many people enjoy sunning as part of their routine but do not because they just plain don't have any privacy.
