Converse Sneakers Get A Dr. Seuss Makeover

First Posted: 07/06/10 02:34 PM ET Updated: 05/25/11 06:00 PM ET

The classic sneaker company Converse has decided to add some literature into its line of shoes. Converse has just launched its line of Dr. Seuss themed sneakers, most of which are for children, but with some cool models for adults, too. The shoes show both familiar characters and the classic illustration style of Dr. Seuss books. From Converse's website: "The best of the doctor's rhymes and clues on shoes that come in twos. The Converse Dr. Seuss collection is a celebration of Dr. Seuss and his characters on our most iconic silhouettes."

I love Dr. Suess. I loved him when I was a kid, and I loved reading his books to my son when he was young. My son's now eleven and isn't interested in hearing me read Dr. Suess to him anymore, but now I own an ice cream shop, and I am thinking of having a reading morning, just so I have an excuse to read Dr. Suess to little ones again.

Must mean a $100 million CGI 3-D film adaptation of 'Green Eggs & Ham' is in the works.
If you start seeing stories in the press about killer hampsters that will mean a blockbuster summer killer hampster movie is about to come out too.
