Dave Matthews

Remember when the Dave Matthews Band's bus driver dumped 800 pounds of raw sewage into the Chicago River? Well, the band is hoping to put all that behind them when they close out their tour at Wrigley Field in September.

Initially, Elton John and Billy Joel were planning to play the ballpark, but Billy Joel wanted to take a year off and the plans were scrapped.

Instead, Dave Matthews and crew will finish their tour in Chicago, playing two back-to-back shows at Wrigley September 17 and 18, NBC Chicago reports.

The shows will be the band's last before their hiatus, according to NBC:

DMB plans to take time off from the road in 2011, after 20 consecutive years of touring.

Jason Mraz is slated to open the shows, and tickets go on sale July 17.

Wrigley is where a team goes to die.

Watch-out for the rats.

So the headline indicates that DMB will be taking their hiatus at Wrigley Field. What ever happened to good grammar?

I bet Dave Matthews is intrigued by the trough-like urinals at Wrigley.

I am one of many Cubs fans that hate those troughs.

Back to Chicago. He must need to empty the bus's bathroom again in the river.

Crappy band in a worse stadium filled with popped collar yuppies.

Sounds like my personal hell.

Sorry, I REALLY hate DMB's music, plus the fact they dropped a bus' sump pump into the Chicago River a few years ago.

Apologies if I offended anyone.
