Jake Vienna Reunion

PEOPLE TV Watch:

Jake Pavelka and Vienna Girardi took their he-said-she-said circus to the air on Monday night in a previously recorded interview about their relationship. Among the heated subjects they tackled were Vienna selling her story to a tabloid, the emotional abuse she says he inflicted, and the constant undermining Jake says he endured.

Trading bitter insults throughout their talk with Chris Harrison, the exes battled it out in a verbal boxing match that proved no winner -- and pulled no punches. Here's a recap of how it all went down:

Who are these people?
07:09 PM on 07/07/2010
If Jake isn't gay, I need to return my Gaydar to Best Buy.
09:57 PM on 07/07/2010
You also need to stop insulting people by calling them gay.

I am gay. Being called gay isn't an insult. Stop boring me with your self righteousness.

What classless losers they both are. They thoroughly disgust me. I called my aunt in Seattle and told her this would happen. She was laughing, saying it was always about entertainment instead of a real relationship. And she should know, she was married for over 55 years to my late uncle.

I think this program has jumped the shark....so to speak. What a vulgar display.

There's something really creepy about Jake. He was a phony from the get-go and has taken this game of his too far in pursuit of fame and fortune. His ex before Vienna is calling him a con man and I think he is. This guy has some major issues he needs to deal with. Vienna is young and wild, and not ready for marriage, but I don't believe she's malicious in any way. Glad she's calling him out on his lies. This show is all about scripts, editing, and drama which equals big bucks for ABC. First and last time I'll watch.

I am shocked by how many people felt like Vienna came off sympathetic in this interview. She is a CHILD. She's still in her early 20s and I think she needs to do some growing up, putting herself first, figuring out who the hell she is and establish herself as confident and self-sufficient. Jake is something like 8 years her senior?? I wouldn't want to kiss or be intimate with her either. She just kept talking and talking. I don't think he came off as smug. I think he came off as irritated and fed up. I can't imagine hearing that whiny, needy voice all the time. The most significant part of the interview was when he described how she had changed since the show. He had previously found her witty, challenging, funny, interesting, etc. She seems too young to really appreciate that people are attracted to confidence, not the need for constant validation and approval. I think she'll look back at this one day and cringe. But, seriously, she put all of their business in the street, then went and TV and was hysterical and out of control. Um dignity? Self-respect?

it just seems from the way she reacted, and the way he looked at the camera and held his breath when he snapped... he's been a yeller before. His smugness was rampant.

Her most significant part was when she said she packed and moved to dallas bc he's a PILOT and then he was in LA acting. I'd be hurt to if I uprooted my life for what ended up being a lie or a ruse.. or just unsaid intentions.

both of them need to get of the tv is what I think.

young and needing reassurance in a love life with a man you moved and exposed your life for shouldn't be seen as a bad thing.

"young and needing reassurance in a love life with a man you moved and exposed your life for shouldn't be seen as a bad thing. "

Actually, I think it should. A woman who uproots herself for ANY reason is ultimately responsible for her actions and decisions. In life sometimes relationships don't work out. Commitment is a risk. This is why it is even more important for a young woman to be able to depend on herself emotionally when things with a partner begin to fall apart. The healthiest relationships are those between people who not only know how to love and respect another, but who also make it a priority to do that very thing with themselves. It seems like Vienna wanted that relationship to validate her a person, but when you depend on others to do that for you and they fail, you are pretty much left with nothing. So you go to tabloids and on TV in a practically hysterical state, searching to exert your voice by exposing your jerk of a boyfriend and you end up missing the point: when you depend on a man to validate you and forget to preserve some sense of self, the ultimate loser is YOU. And maybe your focus should be on why you would drop everything for someone that you barely know chasing a fairytale that has long been nothing but a disservice to women and not on exposing him to America.

If you're shocked that women here identify with Vienna, take a wild guess as to what behavior they consider acceptable? It's a sad commentary really on the state of women in America.

Vienna and Jake are both very attractive people, but Jake seem probably quite conceited. I saw them on tv last night. Could it be they're acting a bit for the cameras? Has Jake really broken Vienna's heart?

The guy came off as a smug, chauvinistic, insecure toad.

The girl came off as a shrill, spoiled, obnoxious half-wit.

Both seem to be "famewh0res."

In that interview, Jake's demeanor and facial expressions reminded me of Christian Bale in American Psych0.

Some of these comments are funny. You folks care way too much about these fake celebs you don't know. I've never seen this TV show and that's the way I like it.
