Kelsey Grammer Fights Back Against Ex

Last week, Kelsey Grammer's third wife Camille Donatacci Grammer pulled the plug on their 13-year marriage. While it was reported by TMZ that the breaking point occurred on Father's Day when he allegedly didn't fly home or call his kids, Grammer is now addressing the "malicious" rumors.

"The truth is I did call my kids that evening," he writes on his Web site KelseyLive.com. "Frankly, I was surprised that they did not call me in the morning but I was thousands of miles away and working that day so I didn't give it a second thought." The couple's two children Mason, 8, and Jude, 5, are in Los Angeles with Donatacci.

An 8 year old is NOT a "toddler, pretty much" and is not too young to call their dad on Father's Day. This 8 year old probably has his own cell phone! And if he couldn't dial the phone by himself, the mom should have helped him. Sounds like bitterness to me, and was obviously not the cause of the problems. Real Housewives curse strikes again!

He was taking a jab at his wife when he said "frankly, I expected a call from my kids". I mean, c'mon, they're toddler pretty much.

can't stand this guy, and never found Frasier Crane to be an interesting character. Nevertheless, I gotta go with him on this one. You must not have seen the comments to the earlier article, in which many comments were to the effect that kids are supposed to place the call on Fathers' Day, even if the mother has to dial the number. The wife was complaining that Grammer did not phone the kids on Fathers' Day.

Um...that's what the adults are for. If my wife was out of town on Mother's Day, I wouldn't expect her to call my daughter because she'd expect me to dial the phone and let our daughter talk to her. That's the way most relationships work...
