Pat Buchanan, 'Skank Correspondent': Buchanan Struggles Through Lindsay Lohan, Levi Johnston News (VIDEO)

MSNBC's "Morning Joe" has a new 'Skank Reporter' — Pat Buchanan.

In lieu of a vacationing Willie Geist, Buchanan read the program's "News You Can't Use" Wednesday morning, which comprised reports on Lindsay Lohan's jail sentencing and a recent apology to the Palins from Levi Johnston.

Mika Brzezinski — who once burned a script rather than read news about Paris Hilton's jail time — tapped Buchanan for "the skank Lindsay Lohan, Levi Johnston stories," and asked him to report the stories with his best "cable gal packaging news as garbage imitation."

But for the "hard-hitting" segment, Buchanan chose to invoke broadcasting legend Walter Cronkite.

"Good evening, this is Walter Cronkite," he joked. "Our lead story tonight — actress Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced to three months in jail."

He later introduced the Levi Johnston story saying, "In a statement to People magazine — that's the place you take a statement like that — the father of Sarah Palin's grandchild says that he was unhappy" about his truth-distorting comments about the Palins.

"Morning Joe" producer Chris Licht tweeted about the segment, writing: 'fmr. pres. speechwriter Pat Buchanan delivers his most important lines... on LiLo & Levi Johnston" and "When Willie's away, Pat B. will play."

Pat Buchannan is a racist without question. As for Joe seems like the usual GOP hardliner same as Pat never served or did anything but is for war at every opportunity. As for Levi he is back on the gravy train. makes me think Sarah does plan to run in 2012 had to have Levi inside the tent pissing out as opposed to outside pissing in...his threat to reveal something quire naughty about Sarah so far unknown had its effect.

I am surprised they still have Pat Buchanan on at all. I remember when he went on a tirade over Sonia Sotomayor's confirmation hearings, saying she was taking the spot that should go to a white male. This seemed to totally embarrassed Rachael, who responded, firmly, that she did not agree with him one bit. I thought he would be toast after that, but, here he is months later, still giving his 'expert' opinion on msnbc. Go figure!

i wanna know if there was a palin-johnston deal to drop child support and get free sex in exchange for basically saying he exagerated some stuff. he didnt say any of what he said was a complete lie..just that it wasnt completely fact.

.......and may I add........Mika is way to difficult to watch any time of the day. Not only is she critical of everyone --- (she's perfect?), but she interrupts constantly, giggles like a teen-ager, and gazes into Joe's eyes when he speaks. This is no doubt set up by the director, but it's time to have a female co-host who knows her stuff and will not be intimidated by Joe. Can you picture Norah O'Donnell or Andrea Mitchell in that seat?.........acting that way? NEVER!!!

Mika is terrible, she is always preaching & whinning. She can't stand smoking, fast food, soda, etc.which is fine for her, but she wants everyone to agree with her. She has become such a bore. Some of the guests are fine but Mika & Joe are a joke.
